Blimey. A car with a tannoy in the roof just went past the school urging people to vote UKIP. They're certainly trying to evoke a golden age...

And in the meantime 'credible' TUSC (c. Gusset) probably had a few weirdos, lezzers and middle class guilt freaks handing out a few leaflets by the station saying 'capitalism...bad...mkay'.

In my experience the far left never get a car with public address out campaigning, they're usually too busy arguing over the wording of the speech.

If you put four far left people in a room, you'll end up with six political movements.

A Tannoy or another make of public address system? Could you see the manufacturer's logo from where you were?

I am just kidding before I get backlash for that

Collect one point, for pedantry that is both accurate and amusing to me.

Thanks, can I save these points up and buy a toaster or shall I just laugh out loud at your response?

No chance for PR. The Lib Dems attempted to get a hybrid electoral system in which was still FPTP but moved in the direction of PR. Had that system been used this time, there would probably have been greater representation from the smaller parties... and this would have made pure PR an irresistible force.

Not this old chestnut.

I remember this argument being used at the time of the AV referendum.

At BEST there was a possibility that AV would have made PR a bit more likely. At best. Making PR "an irresistible force" was highly questionable from what I remember.

Just had an email from Maddy Carroll at 38 degrees stating that I should get out and vote tomorrow as my constituency, Rhondda, is too close to call!!! F*ck me if that's the case Labour may as well shut up shop.

The tactic of instilling fear.

I would actually decline to vote for her, if it had been my intention before, after such a missive.
