Hi Steve, a tough day all round but necessary actions taken. if possible, I would like to know whether the directors were split over this decision and when the doubts over George's future started to surface? Also, to second the question over the intended appointment future of the new manager (until the end of the season or long-term) was it just the matchday you were not satisfied with or did it run to training aswell?
Up the Palace! 2 questions keeps coming up that are being left unanswered... 1. Long term development or short term fix? 2. Will we have a full-time manager at Coventry ?
2. I dont know

Cheers Steve, good luck with the appointment. We'd love it if you could poach Gus Poyet from the weed but we'll settle for someone who can keep us up! Happy New Year, may today be the lowest point.

i dont post very often but use this site everyday. thanks for coming online and talking to all us palace fans. unfortunately i did not make it to the game today, but on seeing the result comin in, i myself had lost patience with burley. burleys squad was small yes when he took the job but he made a number of permanent and short term signings in his short time at the club, there is only one of them i can think of that has played well(Marrow),This is a question for everyone, why rave about JV - lets be honest apart from his hat-trick agenst pompey he didnt add much to the side. This is all just my opinion

Steve, Just a few comments really.I think you have made the correct decision in sacking gb and as a fan give you full support. I renewed my season ticket new years eve and are confident we will be playing championship football next season. I must admit I find it strange that we would buy a player the day we sack our manager?? surely this would send out a mixed message. I'm not sure who is the right man for the job but with the quality that is available (curbs, big Sam etc) I'm sure we will get the right man for the job.
