Possibly because it’s Tagalog and not English. This was a transaction in the Philippines. Actually I think I spelled it wrong. I think it’s “usafruct”. I would need to retrieve the documents from my archive to be sure and I really don’t think that ought to be necessary. The word exists. No. The word you are looking for is usufruct.

Indeed, but if it smells like bs etc Number of times he has posted something along the lines of " I could send you the proof, but I won't ". Serial BS'er I have met many like him, they interweave fantasy with experiences of others they have over heard and make it their reality. It's all quite sad and pathetic but also taking the P out of the board. Anyway, takes all sorts . I misremembered the spelling. It’s actually “usufruct”. This was 10 years ago! It seems it is used in several places, and not just the Philippines. Including the USA, so is an English word. I will have an agreement somewhere on file. I could copy, redact the personal stuff and send it, but no doubt you would then regard it as faked! What I have said is 100% true. Whether you choose to disbelieve that is your business, but it doesn’t alter the facts.

So with your stellar business career, many board positions , ex CEO etc and multiple property ownership your wife works six days a week in your retirement. As clearly this is not a financial decision one wonders if it might be to get away from you as much as possible, not saying it is just raising a possibility. If you says it's vocational then the BS flag shall be nailed to the mast Let me correct you, again. I held two board positions, both as MD. I was never a CEO. I own 3 small letting units which I converted from a largely redundant semi, partly using my pension to do so. My wife is qualified, skilled and motivated. She is of working age. We could manage on my pension but most of that will disappear on my death. Keeping her skills fresh is important and she also funds the training of others, and provides support to family. There may be a time when she has to spend more time at home caring for me but at the moment I am active and have interests. So she chooses to work where she is much needed and very highly thought of. Some people do wish to contribute to society as well as ensuring their own future is secure. Not everyone thinks only of themselves. Altruism is good for the soul.

Actually I am aware of that and it does give me pause for thought. I try to only use personal stories to illustrate because I can then be sure of the facts and not have to rely on second hand accounts. That others attribute selfish motives to that, is their problem. It’s of no concern to me. As I used to live in the same town as you and I have in the past used some of my experiences there as support for comments, I am quite sure you could easily identify me, if you chose to. That you haven’t is a credit, but no more than I would have anticipated. I have no interest in any of that sort of stuff.

I am due to meet up with a host of Conservative Members tomorrow to discuss the report from the 'Conservative Way Forward' group and the aims of the 'Conservative Democratic Organisation'. I suspect both will be well received by the assemblage ! Edited by Willo (11 Dec 2022 7.08pm)

I only ever met one other Palace fan there and was very surprised to come across a fellow fan, clad in a replica shirt at a filling station. From memory he was riding a motor bike. This was at least 15 years ago though. He was much younger than me, and seemed a polite and pleasant chap. We had a short conversation. I think I mentioned this before!

I wouldn't wear a football shirt outside of being at a match and I've never owned a motor bike. If you had met me during my free time fifteen years ago I'd have probably been in shapers.

The replies are much more interesting than the original tweet. They just show how totally out of touch people like Lord Cruddas are. If the Tories followed this path they would split for sure. So I cannot believe that Central Office will adopt it willingly and if the membership do go for it then they are nuts. It would be collective suicide. They might as well all go and join Reform or whatever Farage calls himself next week. In many ways I hope it happens and that Labour splits too. Then we will see how weak the fringes really are and how the centre holds the majority. Edited by Wisbech Eagle (11 Dec 2022 8.31pm)
