Yes they were! I know that for certain. So quietly that it didn't reach your, or Yaxley-Lennon's ears. The authorities, and the police, were aware of the problem, although probably not the scale, and had a strategy for dealing with it. Which would not be your strategy, but it existed. You know this how? You have contacts in the police force?? You are the chief constable of Devon and Cornwall? Which is it wissie?

They were ignored. Read the public apologies. Which were part of a PR damage limitation exercise intended to try to keep the public onside and keep a lid on a situation which could easily boil over into vigilantism. I have nothing but great sympathy for our under-funded, under trained police forces asked not only to detect crime and bring criminals to justice, but often to act as social workers too.

So what. If one in a 1000 beleive in jihad its an awful lot of innocents dying in the name of Islam! Have you done the sums on it? Obviously true. Which is why we must focus on the real problem. Which is the radicalised extremists and not the mainstream, peace loving everyday citizens who just happen to be culturally Muslim.

It's his name. Many pop stars and actors use stage names. Yaxley-Lennon is not a pop star or an actor, who often use a stage name for contractual reasons. Y-L is a rabble-rousing attention seeker.

None of which explains why victims were ignored.

So in another post you didn't condemn 10 years olds getting forced to have sex and now this last paragraph. Who can it harm? The abusers whose families protected them and when that is proved where will you sit. If muslims are becoming westernised they are showing it in a funny way. If one of mine were into what those grooming gangs where and are still into the plod are my first call. They have no morals and have shown it! That's misrepresention worthy of another poster on here! All I said was that some countries, where obviously we have no direct involvement, permit things we don't. Obviously I don't condone such things. It is against everything I believe in. We are though discussing the situation in OUR country, so shifting the emphasis is pointless. It could never happen here. Not all are "westernised". Yet. The point is that some are, especially the second and third generations who have attended mainstream schools, made new friends and are involved in British cultural activities. In my own sport, I know of a bowls club in Bradford who have several young Muslim members actively participating. Which I think is great. It takes time. Be patient.

It was before I moved here, and I am sorry, but I cannot tell you how as it would break confidences. You either believe me, or not. Knowing you though, even if I could tell you, you would disbelieve it.
