People bad mouthing our best ever player are the ones showing disrespect. I hope he stays, if he doesn’t I will wish him the best. He has given us far more than any other player we have had, pretty much single handedly keeping us up for the last 5 years at times. Agreed. The situation is infuriating for everybody though.
"Brighton are talking about how they're coming for us. And it's like, we've been waiting in the Premier League for you for ages." Wilfried Zaha, 2017. |

I can see a line forming of people waiting to heap criticism on Wilf if he has any lack of form. Where does the sulking prediction come from. I think he tries his best every time he goes on the pitch Mate, i agree. you watch this site if he stays and just puts one foot wrong for a match. Mark my words and you see it here first, any lack of form at all and it will be oh hes not wanting to be here so isnt giving 100%. i hate him now. lets get rid of him and boo him when he comes back. If he stays he will play as good as he can. If he goes then all the best to him, I wont be the one hating him for it or booing him. He's given more than enough for the team.

No way! ..Wilf will want to show them that they should've payed the asking price! If he’s handed in a transfer request it’s because he thinks they have put in a fair bid already.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

If he’s handed in a transfer request it’s because he thinks they have put in a fair bid already. So, not only do players get to chose now whether or not they stick with their contracts, but they also get to decide whether the amount offered is sufficient for the selling club? That is taking player power to a whole new level. Ask Bale how it’s currently working for him! If he had inserted a sale clause which kicked in at £70m or £80m then fair enough, but he didn’t so the least he can do is show some contractual commitment. SP will sell for the right amount at the right time. If Wilf plays up because of this approach he will damage his already fragile reputation for his attitude when he does not get what he wants. This in turn will reduce the number of suitors. Petulance always comes back to bite you in one form or another.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Irony Wilf!' by bexleydave I think he probably likes to hang onto the ball too much for most of the elite teams but may be considered as an impact squad player. Also think they're probably put off by his general surliness and the pantomime he's surrounded himself with. He played for Solskjaer at Cardiff and I remember him being subbed off against us in the Freedman / spygate game despite being their biggest threat. He's worth £100m to us but not to a Champions League team so a pretender like Everton who might hope he can make the difference are probably about as good as he can realistically expect. This sums up my feelings exactly.

I agree that he’s our best ever player and has contributed immensely to us staying up over the years. However, I would argue that Speroni has done just as much over the years for the club. It’s not disrespect towards wilf, more frustration at him allowing this to drag on all summer leaving the club in a thankless position. I have no issue with him leaving and feels he deserves a chance to play at a higher level. He has just gone about it in the wrong manner and has tarnished his reputation with a large section of the fans. I hope I’m wrong but I feel he will no show at training today to force a move.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle A serious question. Danny Mills on SSN last night explained how handing in a transfer request negates his bonuses written into his contract. So if he stays does anyone know if we are then liable to pay the bonuses written into his contract? Personally I hope we are not but I do think he'll be off in the next window if not this.

Everton forums happy that " on the forums Palace fans have turned against Zaha " so he likely won't play on Saturday whatever the situation. Personally, I think the anti Zaha talk on here is pointless and band wagon jumping. We have no ideas what is actually going on or who promised what to who. End of the day, it's all about the money. He’s handed in a transfer request 1 day before the window shuts. How about 48 hours or 72 hours or a week before? It’s sh1tty and anyone with any sense would agree. Zaha and his advisors are thick simpletons obsessed with money and sh1t, vulgar objects of tat to buy. All part of the Instagram generation.
