That’s worthy of Trump! Anything you don’t like is fake news. A thoughtfully assembled list of facts is dismissed as coming from “leftist activists”. Facts don’t do politics.

By all means compare the list of signatures on the report with those at the very top of their professions who have rubbished it. Then also ask if those signatures are real!

Those highlighted are indeed well known but not by their peers for their work in the industry. They are well known for holding discredited opinions and being sponsored by dubious sources.

The science didn’t turn out to be false at all. The virus mutated and the variants started behaving differently. Don’t let the facts get in the way of a good conspiracy though.

Of course it’s been destroyed. Only Sweden took the kind of route they recommended and they had to backtrack.

No-one with any level of responsibility takes these kind of ideas seriously. They might have provided a debate worth having in the early days, I remember Dominic Cummings proposing herd immunity as the way forward until he was put in his place by the professionals. Considered, rejected, binned. Except by know-it-alls with wider agendas.

Clinging to this kind of nonsense to try to justify an approach which could not work and to support irresponsible behaviour is not something I would be proud to own.

Sweden's approach was wrong?

Errrr....that's not the opinion here:

You spread lies about those high level in the Barrington report because that's what you essentially are: a liar who just trolls those you don't like.

When you talk about those who rubbished the Barrington report I can think of Dr Fauci .....the guy leading the US effort who is in the pay of the pharmaceuticals and won't release information on how much he's received from them.

A direct conflict of interest....and that's not even touching the involvement he had in the Wuhan lab.

The professionals you back have put this country into poverty and it's people like you cheerleading for them that share in that responsibility.

Perhaps one day your thinking will 'evolve' to understand that reality.

I don’t fit any stereotype, ex pat or elsewhere, other than that in the fevered imagination of someone prepared to make judgements on comments in a forum. The supersmart know no limit to their superior abilities.

The Americans I referred to do fit a stereotype. Many are ex military, some first coming to the Philippines on R & R during the Vietnam war. Not all are like that. I had many friends from the US who are lovely people and agreed with me about my assessment of their countrymen. Even then the wide gulf between two realities was obvious.

The restrictions on. land ownership in the Phil is well understood by me and would require a long explanation. There are ways around it. I bought, and sold again, property there without my wife having to have legal title and repatriated the proceeds. Many others have though lost everything through foolishness.

Again you try to assert you are superior, for the land transactions do you have a video? ( Hussey refers ) Raise the BS flag, and I know you don't care that I don't believe you.

Or, are you admitting breaking the law in the PI. Is " ways around it " the term you use for fraud and bribery.

There is no legal way to do what you have claimed to do.

Whoops

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Interesting take on a country with so many natural advantages for beating Covid when you consider quite how many old people died. As Fauci said, it is not practical to properly protect the vulnerable in a let-it-rip scenario

This is getting a bit silly but the silliest thing is to say you will evidence something by redacting it so that is has no meaning to the matter in hand.

I just twigged that you think Fauci was the only person to rubbish the Great Barrington Declaration. It really wasn’t a report.

Well, that is wildly untrue.

For example:

Date:
April 26, 2022
Source:
University of Bath
Summary:
Shielding vulnerable people while allowing Covid-19 to run through the rest of the population had been proposed as an alternative strategy to lockdowns. Modelling by University of Bath scientists shows it would ultimately have failed as infections 'leak through' to the most vulnerable. Even in the most optimistic shielding scenario, critical care capacity in hospitals would have been massively exceeded with tens of thousands of unnecessary deaths.

You really need to get out more.

Oh look it's the failed granite fan here to support his porous friend.

Excuse after excuse after excuse.

Yeah, it must have been that sentence which I never wrote where I said Fauci was the only person on the payroll to push lockdowns.

Perhaps when you finish making strawmen you could light one up. It might provide some heat for some pensioners that your supported policies are leaving cold this winter.

As for the university of Bath and modelling.....well, as the modelling during covid produced some of the worse projections I've ever heard....let's just say I'm highly skeptical.

I said from the start that the cure was worse than the disease and I and others are being proven right. There is no pleasure in it.

As a 'dip in' I do sometimes wonder if release that you're one of the very few filimants of normalcy and balance around this joint? .

As for covid, well everyone has a take. I tend to think the first lockdown of course makes sense, and beyond that no so much. We feel the consequence of those mistakes on multiple levels.

We will have the day before our holiday to prepare and get our dog into kennels. I wouldn’t want to interrupt that day when for the previous 29 I will be alone for most of them. Maybe you are inconsiderate. I try not to be.

I am neither afraid nor lying. Why on earth would I be?

So with your stellar business career, many board positions , ex CEO etc and multiple property ownership your wife works six days a week in your retirement. As clearly this is not a financial decision one wonders if it might be to get away from you as much as possible, not saying it is just raising a possibility.

If you says it's vocational then the BS flag shall be nailed to the mast
