So how is it this guy blowing the whistle and not a specialist? He is either barking or has a way to make money from his theory. And that is my expert opinion. I wouldn't dream of challenging your expert opinion, Maple, but if you watch or listen to the interview in full there's some other topics that are touched upon that are interesting. That's all I'm saying at this point. Mr. Johnson's address at the weekend was vague at best and Trump's body language suggests he knows more than he's prepared to let on. If you, yourself are open to alternative interpretations then it can only be a good thing, surely?

The economic impact of the virus is now starting to attract the media. Our debt levels have gone through the roof and someone has to pay for people sitting at home doing nothing. The private sector will sort itself out the good companies will protect the workers whilst others will impose pay cuts or freezes and redundancies. Which leaves us with the public sector. The unions very predictably are demanding pay rises and job security. My own feeling is that apart from the NHS I would tell the unions they have had their "perk" full pay doing nothing for several months. I would hope that the more sensible people who work in that sector will realise how lucky they have been and accept a pay freeze for 2 years. Taxes will also have to go up I think that is inevitable and the government should not shy away from it most people will understand this providing it is done fairly.

Glad this is only in The Sun. It’s got more than a whiff of visiting hours about it.

What public sector workers have been doing nothing for several months? Police, fire brigade, teachers, carers, social services, waste management etc. have all been working mainly through this.

A top World Health Organization official said the novel coronavirus “may never go away,” becoming a long-term fact of life that must be managed, like H.I.V. The official said that while a good vaccine could be developed, there was no telling when, calling it “a moon shot.”

I’m not really sure why the media have picked up on the economic crisis now..perhaps they are looking for new items to try and depress people. On the basis that only a very small proportion of people are working and most business remains closed its hardly surprising the economy has tanked..its only news to the incredibly stupid. As for toilets latest guidance states that only one person can be in the toilet block at one time even if there are 20 cubicles and the entire block must be cleaned every time it is used for one person. If it’s a legal requirement to provide a toilet places won’t open.

I was left somewhat bemused as to why this has become a 'topic' in the media in the past few days.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |
