I want him to stay but happy that he leaves if that makes sense.
However to have it happen tomorrow is madness and Wilf cannot blame Palace if Everton for example come in with a proper offer tomorrow which means they could have done it weeks ago!
Like a house - if you want it badly enough then pay the asking price!
If he is in a Palace shirt on Saturday I for one will cheer him!

Well it’s turning as toxic as I said it could a couple of weeks ago.

If Wilf had handed in a transfer request in May then I think, like we did before we would understand and wish him well.

Instead he’s let the club , the fans and his teammates down with his timing.

Next thing he will be saying that Parish promised him a move this summer then it becomes a question of who you believe as I don’t think Parish wanted to lose him and AWB.

Ultimately though - this is typical Palace

I don't think there is anymore we could do.

He didn't put a transfer request in
He didn't return after AFCON to try and sort it
He signed new deal last year and accepted the extra money and the loss of the buy out clause.
As others have said if he had put in a transfer request in May we could have planned and brought in a replacement now there is no time and many potential players are gone. We also probably would not have sold AWB
If he has put in a transfer request today he has acted teribly towards the club and its supporters.
If he does force a move tomorrow I really hope he fails like he did at Man United

Everton May make a straight cash offer?

IF he goes to Everton I wouldn’t be at all surprised if part of the deal from our side is that he doesn’t play on Saturday...

You might be right and id say there’s a fair chance Roy leaves him out anyway now until it all blows over if he stays.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

It’s too late now for Wilf to go now, if he handed in that transfer request as soon as the season finished then fair enough. Let’s be honest both Arsenal and Everton have messed us and Wilf about. It’s not the clubs fault that the value hasn’t been met...

We have nothing to gain by letting him go on the eve of the transfer window closing...

Arsenal and Everton have done what any club tries to do ,get a player as cheap as possible.

Jez our chairman is the worst for trying to get cheap deals.

That’s why we lose out on many deals because of SP

Time to let Wilf go, can’t keep him now if he has put a transfer request. It will cause problems within the group.

Italian Gazzetta dello Sport says Palace refused Tosun&McCarthy for Wilf, but they're ready to offer 90M (I guess they're talking in Euros...)

If it's a straight cash deal IMHO it would be better than taking Tosun etc; the big question is whether we have the planning in place to spend it wisely? Have we made enquiries already etc ? Sinclair left out of Celtic squad & Lennon said there's interest but nothing concrete. Would like to think that we had a few wide players in mind, knowing us Sinclair was on it & the ones above have gone. Hes decent but Lokilo should have had a chance or two last season so we were better place. We all knew Wilf was going, it was just when.
Saturday not looking like its going to be very pleasant for the club management from what I have seen on here, and def some of it is deserved.

Ido not think he will fail again at Everton as he did at Man U.
He has honed his unequalled skills to the highest level and could probably even outperform Tom Daley in some aspects of his game.
