Todays first download isn't a bootleg but it is a live album. This is Steve Hackett and the audio from his new live dvd entitled "Fire And Ice". The show was recorded at the Shepherds Bush Empire on 30th November 2010. This is great stuff with some classics being played from Steve's early days with Genesis as well as his solo stuff. Steve is joined by special guests Steven Wilson and John Wetton. If you like Steve Hackett you must have this one... Todays second download is a set by Procol Harum that was recorded in Golders Green, London in January 1977. This is in superb quality and is a fantastic set. The audio has been taken from an FM broadcast of the show. I've posted a couple of boots by PH recently as a few have shown up on the net - I grabbed all the ones I didn't have and will be posting one or two more in the near future. Some classics on this one from Conquistador to A Whiter Shade Of Pale. The final 3 tracks on the boot have been taken from a different, earlier show at London's Rainbow Theatre in 1974. Todays extra download is a set by The XX that was recorded in Paris, France in 2009. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from an FM broadcast of the show. I've posted a couple of boots by this band in the past - this is another top sounding show. If you like the XX this is thoroughly recommended.. Todays first download is a set by Huey Lewis & The News that was recorded at this years Monterey Jazz Festival on the 17th September. This is in superb quality and is a top sounding FM broadcast of the show. I've only posted a few bootlegs by HL in the past - this is probably the best sounding of them. A top set which finishes with the classic "The Power Of Love". This is thoroughly recommended..... Todays second download is only the second bootleg by this band that I've posted - mainly because it's only the second one I've seen. This is the Tom Robinson Band and a show that was recorded in New York in June 1978. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from an fm broadcast of the show. The set is wicked and the band are on good form for this one, which ends up with his hit single 2-4-6-8 Motorway. This is thoroughly recommended.... Todays extra download is a very recent one by Florence & The Machine that was recorded last Friday night at the BBC Studios London for Radio 1 Live Lounge Special. The quality is superb on this boot - as you would expect from the bbc. Only 6 songs on this one - but they're good ones and this is a top sounding set. This is thoroughly recommended... Hi staffie, I see that in the past you have posted a Christmas album (eg Jethro Tull,Annie Lennox) , and being a bit of a softie for the festive music I am looking forward to your offering this year. Although I haven't heard them yet, perhaps you would consider Michael Buble's Christmas Album or better still John Rutter's Colour of Christmas. Whatever you pick I'm sure it will be a good one.
