When I grew up the left were anti censorship, in fact only the religious right were pro censorship...and they never had power.

Today's left are bag carriers for authoritarianism.

You really do have a terrible problem with the truth don't you and can never accept being wrong.

Constantly dragging up misrepresentations, which have been repeatedly and comprehensively shown to be untrue, in a petty attempt at defamation is a pretty disgusting trait.

I suggest you take a break from your determination to always be right and seeking to defend the indefensible just because it might mean you have to admit you have been wrong in the past.

Take a walk or go and lie down to contemplate how life will be after you have been vaccinated. Maybe commit yourself to going out to help a few poor immigrants who are suffering as a result of the pandemic. In other words, try to be a decent guy for a change. It's good for your soul.

My grandfather went bankrupt through gambling. My brother lost a fortune and now lives in much reduced circumstances.

So it's far from cowardice. It's hard experience and lessons learned.

My father took the lesson of his father even harder. He never borrowed anything, ever. He paid bills, in cash, on the day they arrived and never had a bank account. He had very little but what he did have was his. And he never gambled. He wouldn't even buy a raffle ticket.

I would gladly put you in touch with my brother, who has supported Palace even longer than I have, but he is now 90, unwell and has never used the HOL. He doesn't suffer fools very well either so I won't raise his blood pressure by trying.

No doubt you will though dismiss that as just a "story". More truth you have difficulty with.
