Assuming he stays what sort of reception does he get on Saturday?

And assuming he goes, what sort of reception does he get on Saturday?

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

But - get a fit and motivated Yannick Bolasie back at the club where it all happened for him then that is a different proposition..!!

You only need to look at what happened to Wilf from coming back to us from Man U to see/understand that..!!

When Yannick left IMO he was the better/more consistent of the two between him and Wilf..!!

IMO if Wilf goes to Everton he will go down the same spiral as he did with Man U - no longer the big fish, home sick, off field issues, drop in form will follow and will end up on the peripheries a shadow of the player he is/can be.

But it's up to him.

He's total lack of respect to the club and to us as supporters that have stuck by him through thick and thin. In terms of the timing of his alleged transfer request - if true, is totally abhorrent and selfish.

Irrespective of the outcome our adulation you'll have no more..!!

COYP

I admire your optimism mate and if he does come back then I hope you’re right ...

If we lose Zaha as well as AWB we lose our pace in the team.
We have a pedestrian team already, and Hodgson will have to devise a new way of playing that does not rely on pace.
Unless we buy a couple of speedsters tomorrow!

I think part of Wilf's problem is that he needs to be adored (someone wrote an article on one of the fan sites about this) and he gets that adoration at Palace. In making a big money move he'll have to deliver from the get go and consistently, because if he doesn't the fans will get on his back and that could be a downward spiral for him.

Cynic or realist? It's a fine line!

I get the feeling that HOL could well go into meltdown tomorrow when events unfold.
Could well be a very toxic atmosphere in the ground on Saturday.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Everyone wants to be adored and given time on the pitch which he wasn't with Moyles he will shine anywhere.

Well it’s turning as toxic as I said it could a couple of weeks ago.

If Wilf had handed in a transfer request in May then I think, like we did before we would understand and wish him well.

Instead he’s let the club , the fans and his teammates down with his timing.

Next thing he will be saying that Parish promised him a move this summer then it becomes a question of who you believe as I don’t think Parish wanted to lose him and AWB.

Ultimately though - this is typical Palace

Transfer request or not, you don’t let him leave now. Tell him he’s here now until January at least or until we have time to find replacements. He’s paid a large wage and signed a big contract last year. We don’t have to let him leave.
