This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle I think our transfer policy and style last season might have a lot to do with it. We've brought no one in and Wilf looked visibly frustrated all of last season. Everton have made ambitious signings over the last few years and are at least trying to get somewhere. Where would you like to play, Hodgson's Palace who try and bore the opposition into submission where you'll have Richalison, Walcott, Wilf, and Yala to run at opposition defences. Parish has always said he wants us to get to the same position as Everton but not invested. Which is a disappointment. However, I'm not sure he trusts Roy with the money. Roy has still not made a signing that has broken into the first team. Some might blame it on Dougie or overspending in the past but any ambitions manager would be making a song and dance about what players he wants. Hodgson's demeanour and tactics dont show a man who has ambition. He just wants to keep his job. That approach wont keep or attract players.

Luka to me . says. "Zaha get on with. dig your own hole", like he did at Soton.. yes he got deserved sent off and he kept clapping as he walked away and who went to him to stop him clapping...... Time to make us a team, yes he will be missed as other players have.. but CPFC is team that evolves for the good or bad but true CPFC fans will still be there... each week regardless!! Apart from the super ethical reliable Sky Sports & any of its associated companies there are no other confirmations of a transfer request. How come the BBC is not running this story? Wrong sex?

Wow the vitriol directed towards Wilf is amazing....how fickle some people are. So far we have no idea what’s going on : 1. Did Palace agree that if a reasonable offer was made he would be allowed to leave ? If so was £70m plus 2 players worth a least 15 million a reasonable offer ? 2. Was Wilf promised that Palace would invest in players this summer to move the team forward ? If so do 2 out of contract players who were released by their clubs as not good enough and a loan made permanent represent an improvement ? Who knows but I for one are not prepared to condem Wilf who has carried this club for several seasons without knowing what’s going on at the circus. This.

His advisors are thick as fvck with zero experience and I’m wondering if Zaha is capable of thinking for himself. With respect, very few footballers are pleased with any intelligence. His advisors/agent are only in it for the money they don't care where he goes, but get a nice 5% if he does.

If he walked in and put in a transfer request after the last game of last season, it would be different. A day before the window shuts, if he has, has got ‘c*nt’ written all over it. A lot of our fans won't like all this. He needs to go tomorrow before this turns nasty. At £200k a week who can blame him. Lets move on. Next.

Bolasie is finished ... should never feature in any sort of deal, if such a deal is even on the cards ... Not sure I agree with that - he had a bad injury and he's struggled to recapture his form since then..!! But - get a fit and motivated Yannick Bolasie back at the club where it all happened for him then that is a different proposition..!! You only need to look at what happened to Wilf from coming back to us from Man U to see/understand that..!! When Yannick left IMO he was the better/more consistent of the two between him and Wilf..!! IMO if Wilf goes to Everton he will go down the same spiral as he did with Man U - no longer the big fish, home sick, off field issues, drop in form will follow and will end up on the peripheries a shadow of the player he is/can be. But it's up to him. He's total lack of respect to the club and to us as supporters that have stuck by him through thick and thin. In terms of the timing of his alleged transfer request - if true, is totally abhorrent and selfish. Irrespective of the outcome our adulation you'll have no more..!! COYP

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Here I am sitting at Kings hospital waiting for my son to come out of surgery from a broken jaw and I have constantly been reading this s***e, cheers Wilf. By the way let me be your agent, Arsenal bad move, Everton bad move, if it were City, Liverpool or even Spurs I could understand and too would wish you all the best but you will never play Champions League football at those 2 clubs for as long as you are kicking a ball, the gulf now is too big. If it is for money I would like to know what you can’t do earning 6.7 million a year, money amounting to this becomes irrelevant it’s not the same as an average guy doubling his wages that actually does mean something.

A club with a better transfer setup than ours could take the money for Zaha and use it to transform the team. Not optimistic either that we'll replace Wilf or create a team that can play in a different way.

Apparently Sane is out for a long time. What a twist that would be? PS I hope he recovers well but you've really got to stop whacking your son

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Wilf could get a f***-off big pay bump and him, Richarlison and Kean would be quite a force. Extreme pace, power and skill. Europe would be totally realistic. If they all stayed fit, top four is not at all out of the question. These people belittling Everton are OTT. Are they Real Madrid? Of course not. Are they appreciably bigger than us? You bet. And Wilf clearly is after more $$$ and a better platform to showcase his skills than we can offer. All that said, it's all too late and way below what we need.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |
