Yes it has been verified as accurate and no it's not "possible" it's fact. OK, it’s verified. I hadn’t read that, which is why I asked. The central point remains. The rioting was not by the community, who are not supporting it and have asked to be left in peace. It was in the community and caused mostly by those from outside. Just because a couple of local bone heads joined in doesn’t change that.

Yup I get that you don't get it. When what is being “got” makes no sense at all, and is making things worse, anyone who offers sympathy for it is contributing to a problem rather than help solve it.

It all rather depends on how you define local. Some of the people arrested are from neighbouring areas. No doubt some are from further afield. Far enough to be unlikely to have too many local connections whilst close enough to get there quite easily and enjoy a good beery tear up and opportunity to ransack a shop, break some windows and injure a few police. No such excuses in London or Hartlepool though.

No such excuses in London or Hartlepool though. No there is. Some individuals have been moved to action by the murder of little girls as not only an unimaginable reality but one in a latest sequence of them. Most are men, desperate to protect children within their society. They've chosen to do something to demonstrate a necessity for change, whether it be condoned, contributory to the desired outcomes or not. The fact that some weasels are unable to comprehend this or anything beyond their own cowardice does not make them right nor their opinions anything less than the demonstration of their own being. Do you seriously think bunches of bone headed, beered up latter day football hooligans hurling bricks at the police, burning police cars and looting shops is going to achieve anything other than occupy scarce police resources and cost us all money? There’s nothing cowardly about keeping a cool head, maintaining self control and trying to work with others to lower tensions and then find ways forward. ndeed it often demands courage to face down bullies and not respond with violence. Did you describe the Leeds rioters in a similar way?

Edited by Nicholas91 (01 Aug 2024 11.11am) Where was the outrage from these men when Sarah Everard was murdered (by a white police officer)? She could have been your girlfriend or wife.

Sarah Everard was a grown woman abducted by a Police Officer, who are now supposedly the tragic victims of rioting, it's not comparable to multiple kids being murdered at a summer event. The same way all the white kids stabbed by non-white kids in London does not elicit the same response. You keep telling yourself that because your cowardice locks you into a political desperation to control the world and hatred of your counterparts that this is what's happening and there's no outrage or reality here beyond your own, tiny, pathetic world. The world isn't comprised solely of cowards, it's not just between you and an opposing side. Kids have been murdered in a random attack and that's the issue at hand.

Sadly I remained unconvinced that the motives of those involved in the disturbances across certain parts of the country are all concerned citizens urged to action.. Some, maybe but quite a few I think have been agitated by often misleading articles on social media I got caught up in the issues around Whitehall last night and a lot of the protesters seemed to be young men who had had a bit to drink.
