A reasonable start to the chase of Australia's 1st innings total. Unfortunately there looks to be a high risk of rain showers over the next 3 days thus reducing the chance of a result.

Finding Ponting a likeable and fair minded commentator. Not that usual for an Aussie. Seems a fair guy.

England racing along 222-2 its scintillating stuff. Under 100 behind so soon, Aussies look ragged in the field, we have to beat the weather and them so this couldn't be better.

Thought that Ali as three before the match was a mistake but he did pretty well. Even when he got out, it could have easily gone for four.

Credit where it’s due, all the Aussie players trotting over to shake Crawleys hand after his superb innings

Definitely the batsmen wary after the Root 'gazunder'. Rough outside off stump and cracks already. 67 ahead with 6 wickets left cap a fine day Crawley's knock will go into Ashes history.

What would be (iyo) a good 1st innings lead?
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |
