'Understand that there are 14 investors who have indicated an interest in buying John Textor’s shares in Crystal Palace. Unclear at this stage whether his 40% will be sold to one or more of them. Textor understood to be close to buying more than 80% of another English club' Reported by Ed Aarons

Whoever takes over the Toffees will need a minimum of £700m to clear all debts and wipe the slate clean.

What is it with this bloke? He appears very unsettled to me. Wants his fingers in too many pies. Or do I just misunderstand what he's up to?
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

The sooner he goes, the better for Palace. Never settled, too many fingers in too many pies, nothing seems genuine or straight forward with him. Whatever people think of Parish, blitzer and co, Parish does his best for the club and chipping away at upgrading things at Palace and the other 2 back him. Textor on the other hand.... just comes across as a headache who's trying to make money through schemes.

He wants as many pies as possible in as many countries as possible. Then he wants to move the ingredients of the pies between the pies to make more tasty pies. However he doesn't own all the pies and some ingredients don't want to be moved and to further complicate pie matters there are additional cross border pie ingredient rules, ownership laws, pie sharing directives and cultural resistance of those who don't like the taste of the new pies. It's about as clear as I can make his intentions. His chef skills aren't up to it. Edited by mileend (25 Jul 2024 8.01pm)
