For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

Back on topic, so often derailed by the same old bore Well worth a watch whether you're a fan of cricket or not. Essential if you're a fan of intellect and the beauty (in the right hands, certain posters take note) of the english language. Post-Rafiq, so that is referenced. 5.00 > 49:00 for Fry.
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

what about different ? ability to ... run fast over 100 metres, or a marathon, digest cows milk, conserve heat in the cold, reproduce in numbers,
you know which groups are good at these things, and which are not.

Why are people so keen to believe Rafiq? Root....who is as woke as feck and was Ballance's room mate doesn't go along with this idea that there was a highly charged racial environment. Surely we need to hear the other side of the story. This I agree with – it is out there if you dig about but as I posted much much earlier, the objectivity in all this is being lost and that is a problem. However I also stated even if his character is in question it's no excuse for being continually subject to racist abuse, assuming most of what he's stating is true.

Well since you sweepingly labelled Muslims as 'potential terrorists' the other day you ought to know a lot about thought crime. And before you say you didn't, that is precisely what you said and meant. I guess it's only 'happily white' people who have a claim to innocence in your mind. Unfortunately the OTT way you present your views takes perfectly valid stances (such as wanting to stop mass immigration or forge a workable approach to illegals) and creates an extra hurdle for sensible people and thought to traverse because we all get lumped in with your lazy, catch-all dislike of entire groups of people.

And then does that comes down to genetics, environment, role models? Does it even matter? Who needs to fixate on these differences to begin with in a world that is increasingly intertwined to the extent that plenty of people you can point at don't tick easy, contrived racial boxes to begin with.. And beyond that we don't get to control our family members. Some here are so frantically obsessed with their own race that they would quite clearly be absolutely devastated if their kids procreated with someone of a different race. Whichever way you slice it, such an outlook is at best weird, and at worst a perversion of the inherent value that should be attributed to all people. Edited by BlueJay (18 Nov 2021 4.09pm)

I can't help but think that if this was all true that someone would have said something. I mean I'm on the dissentient right and I personally wouldn't have put up with that around me....Aside from being out of order it's incredibly unprofessional. I suspect things are being turned up to eleven and that plenty suspect it but are scared to say it.
