Give over Willo! During all the speculation about Hodgson leaving you’ve been telling us repeatedly that as far as you know ‘there isn’t a vacancy’ and yet now, two days after the announcement, you come out with that?! Priceless! 😂 With respect, I am under the opinion that the comments which you have attributed to me were made some time ago, probably back in March! Perhaps you will have noticed that I have been rather silent in relation to managerial speculation in recent weeks.I have been conspicuous by my absence on the relevant threads !

Potter has shown that it is possible to manage in the PL after a Brief spell in the Championship and a longer successful stint overseas. I wouldn't rule out Ismael (or Cooper for that matter). Our situation is one which would appeal to an up and coming manager who wants to show what he can do. I'd be happy with either.

I cannot believe people are seriously suggesting Ismael as the new manager. Yes he has had one good season at Barnsley, but I dont think that is anything like managing a team in the PL.

So true, if Parish hasn’t lined up an experienced coach by now, and by now I mean to step in immediately after the Liverpool game he has messed up big time.

Let's be honest, no one has a clue who will be the next manager. All speculation.

I said back on the 23rd April that Lampard will be our new manager. Frank Lampard will be our new manager just be patient & an announcement will be made more likely next week. Edited by dazza (20 May 2021 8.47pm)

If it is to be an out of work manager like Lampard or Howe - why wait to make an announcement? This was leading my hunch towards a manager currently in another job - Dyche. I’d be happy with this but with SP talking about us moving towards playing more expansive football, I’m now thinking it might be someone else. I’m hoping that doesn’t lead us to Ismail or Cooper at this point in time as I don’t really think either have done enough to serve a shot. Could this be leading towards Scott Parker? Mmmmmm not sure about him either!

Edited by dazza (20 May 2021 8.47pm) You said on the 9th of April that Sean Dyche was buying a house in Beckenham. [Link] Frank Lampard has conducted interviews today stating quite clearly that he is ready to return & open to managing in the Championship. He gains nothing whatsoever doing that if he is already the confirmed manager of Palace. If he becomes the manager of Palace, it doesn't mean anything in relation to you touting the bookies favourite for the job at the time. And nothing has been confirmed yet. Turn it in with this utter bulls***.

The interviews were published today, but when did he conduct them? Fact is, none of us really know anything at the moment.

They certainly weren't conducted prior to April the 23rd when Dazza first announced Lampard had got the ob. As for your second paragraph, that's kinda my point. I wouldn't mind dazza having a bit of fun and overstating his links at the club. But he has done this during the last few transfer windows and now with the ongoing saga surrounding the manager. And for the life of me I cannot work out why anyone is even taking it the tiniest bit seriously. It's all just a bit tragic.
