we were 1/4 to sign him, now it's 1/3 west ham and we're 10s - the odds don't mean a lot of course, but considering Roy wants a striker it wud make some sense if we were more interested in Josh King.

Very colourful language Willo, love it! Perhaps so. But you can’t be thrown into a pestle.

I suspect that both Palace and West Ham are trying it on hoping that Brentford will drop their price if they are desperate for funds. I'm not convinced either club is that serious about getting him. There is an argument that says hold onto your money until the next transfer window when the EFL clubs will be desperate to offload players.

IMO as I have said before I think £25m as reported is too much for someone who apparently can be temperamental. I would have thought if he was that good or desirable he would have been sold on by now. I would prefer to spend some on the Ipswich player and hold on until January. If Wilf really plays for a big move in Jan, dependant on his form, we could have more funds to buy a couple of good players. JMO.

Agreed deal with West Ham and looks like King too. I wouldn't be too keen to pay the amount asked for King. However, reckon Benrahma will do well, but still 25 mil is a lot, particularly as Brentford paid 1.8 mil only a couple of years ago. Nice profit. We will probably get Antonio in January.

Rumour he has just failed his medical at West Ham. Bullet dodged or perhaps as opportunity to settle at a reduced price in January, providing the reason wasn't too serious.

What's funny in that link is the quote from Sullivan: After that, club co-owner David Sullivan explained on talkSPORT: "It was a decision made because we have eight wingers. "Agents offer me players all the time and if they are wingers, I say ‘look we have got too many wingers’. We have some wonderful wingers who are not in the team. Where exactly does he think Benrahma plays?
