While the ownership issues may be part of the problem, the investment for Americans will be worth a hell of a lot less if we’re relegated.
You would think it would be in their interests to ensure that Palace are as well positioned as possible to avoid yet another struggle.

Have they ever talked about the deal done with Palace ? I doubt it. They may well be trying to jump ship now for all we know. It is the same with the transfer window fiasco. Has Steve Parish mentioned anything ? We are all peering into the looking glass. Don't get me wrong, every club works like that. Looks like another bumpy season coming along.

There was so much wrong today that it would be a full essay to get it all off my chest.
Lack of desire and spirit.
Lack of the basic ability to pass the ball to one of our own players.
Pass the ball and make an angle for the return - we couldn't do that - give and go is the expression.
We passed the ball slowly, we moved slowly, we went backwards because there was no one ahead to take the ball, we left a huge hole in the middle of midfield, we didn't want the ball - it just goes on.
Let us remember fellow posters that our Manager is probably on £70k/week and that the wage bill for the starting XI was upwards of £750k/week - they are all expected to perform better than that and no one did!
Certainly not the Manager who was clueless although he can only work with what he has and I can't think of any player who I saw have a good game.
Absolutely pathetic and disgraceful.
Utd weren't much good but they deserved the three points.
This is our 7th season at the top table and I would be happier with the team that came up in 2013 starting today - at least they tried!
That is really damning in my opinion.
Got to stop!

Roy is a manager that is stuck in The 1990’s...Football has moved on. His team selection and substitutions (or lack of)are nearly always strange..he seems to always pull the player that is doing ok
He plays players out of position...
It’s plain to see that Scott Dann is past it, Luca looks really unfit and just can’t seem to get into the game . We needed a game plan in case we went a goal down...one where we have players on the pitch that have a cutting edge offensively
You need to be able to bring on Camarasa, or switch Meyer into a central position, perhaps introduce last weeks mom Ayew ...Put Wilf on the wing . You don’t take your flair player off and bring on yet another holding central midfielder. Or was Roy taking a 1-0 defeat?
Today, we knew that Sheffield would be physical and a big side.
Kouyate perhaps should have started...I appreciate it’s easy said after the game, but these are basics and just obvious to most

Same as last season, the main problem today was our desire to persist with this passing along the back line which was very silly when being pressed so hard and denied space, Meyer is just much too weak and easily lost whilst McCarthur was too slow against today's team ..we struggled just getting the ball out off defence let alone up front.

Sorry, but yes after two games, where do you see the improvement coming from?

I agree it is obvious to most. We appeared to be unfit, unprepared and worse still ... just not bothered.

If you can't see that our coaching is far below the standard needed you are deluded. Look at Leicester City today, they were god awful under Puel with a similar set of players, Brendan Rodgers comes in and they look very good. Our players look scared on the ball, too slow to pass and there is absolutely zero productive movement when we go forwards. This is down to coaching, not the players.

Today has to be one of our worst performances in years against an extremely limited Sheffield United side. We haven't replaced AWB and haven't brought in any goals, if you don't have a striker who scores goals you will always be struggling at the bottom end of the table. Also playing Max Meyer out on the left does not make any sense as we have better wide men than him at the club, you either play him central or don't play him at all. Problem we have now is we have too many central midfield players who all provide similar qualities (apart from Meyer but is regularly put out wide just to accommodate). Townsend being taken off for McCarthy today when you are chasing the game is utter madness and to not bring on Ayew after last week is perplexing and demoralizing for him.

It looks like the summer transfer window has really costed us but i hope we can rectify in January.

Limited in what way exactly?

We were made to look that way.

To look as average as we did today against a side that is second favourites to go down is what I mean by limited.
