They were - apparently - made promises on which the club reneged. I am told they have been looking at what makes Ultras successful elsewhere and their strategy is based on that I have little doubt they are well thought through It's not them that annoy me, it's the poor change management from the club.

You have not (can't) argue any of my points. You have resorted to name calling the last bastion of a child like mind, You accuse me of being a bigot, well look up the meaning sunshine because trust me on this one, if anyone is bigoted round here and displaying a pathetic little englander attitude it's you. It's almost comical how you are blinkered by your own " towel on sun lounger" mentality ( or just mental I can't decide ). I will sign off from this now as you clearly can't see the wood for the tree's. The singing section will happen whether you like it or not. That's not me being nasty it's just a fact. I dont see how someone who does not wish to embrace change is a towel on the sun lounger little Englander. That kind of name calling (not to mention presumption of someone you dont know) makes you look the childish one. HF will be back as will the atmosphere. Hmm. First of all the atmosphere Sunday was outstanding and it built from spirit and togetherness as it REALLY got going when we went 1 2 down. As far as the HF being back? Well, I'll repeat what I have said many times. If they were as true supporters as those of us who go every week, rain or shine, regardless of where we are allowed to stand they would not have thrown a hissy fit and stopped going to the game in the first place. For me, just the fact that they boycotted alone has massively damaged any credibility they may have built up to that point.

Just wondered. ...in his interview SP said they had to 'take note' of the HF (or words to that effect) because he uses their pictures all over their marketing stuff. Could the HF legally stop him doing this, and that's why he did an about turn?

I'm sorry but it wasn't, nowhere near tbf.........and this was against a top team.

Am I missing something here? Do we want a singing section? Yes. Does one improve Selhurst Park? Yes. Did we have one already that functioned perfectly well? Yes. So why are we moving people? Just because they want a better view? They asked, the club said no so they should have said "fair enough, back to block B we go". Instead they threw their toys out the pram and boycotted the place. They're not real fans... 1. It’s to make and spread a bigger and better atmosphere. If you don’t know that you should research before posting. 2. They haven’t ‘boycotted the place.’ They’re attending like everyone else that sits on their hands. Toys out of pram? Maybe. We don’t know the talks had between HF and the club to say, do we? Before anyone says it, the main stand could be 10 years away. The rumours don’t sound hopeful.

The club can probably use any pictures taken inside the stadium, although I suppose if they started using individual people close up regularly there’d be a problem. If they were celebrities and had agents there’d probably be image rights to be negotiated but the HF as far as I know the club don’t need the HF’s permission via the HF’s solicitors.

They’re not rented or real estate, they’re just seats to watch sport in a stadium the fan doesn’t have any ownership of. It’s one of the most stupid things in this thread and I wouldn’t want to be someone in block E trying this, whether it be public or not. I don’t condone the abuse on Sunday from one person but I can imagine it’s not going to be good if any try to block something that’s now inevitably happening. I’d have moved already with that standing further in front actually.

Edited by Mapletree (30 Oct 2018 7.08pm) I said I would’ve moved because of the standing in the front half of block E. I didn’t say anything about moving to the first few rows where you get wet. Not sure about the pre-paid holders but 2010 didn’t have to honour them anyway so they may be able to use that. If they couldn’t move the few pre-paid holders they could allow them to stay dotted about with the HF until they inevitably request to move.

A quaint old fashioned idea, I know, but still true for a large number of football fans.
