Could be that grooming was overlooked as the EDL/BNP's political agenda was obvious and attention turned away from the original issue to the EDL/BNP who ended up getting the most publicity. . The grooming was deliberately over-looked with evidence of actual collusion between Labour councillors and the grooming gang. In one investigation they discovered documents, supposedly stored in secure locations, had been destroyed. The fact that it was left to the BNP/EDL to initially expose it all, and thus allow the Labour authorities to dismiss it as 'racist' was merely a bonus and a way of scaring off more detailed investigations. You need to understand that people lost jobs because they wanted to expose these grooming gangs. Threatened with violence in some cases. Witness details leaked, all sorts going on. All you need to do is look at the career paths of two Labour MP's. Sarah Champion campaigned to expose it all and found herself demoted. Naz Shah both liked and then shared a tweet stating the victims should have kept their mouths shut in the interests of diversity and she gets made the Shadow Minister of State for Women and Equalities. In a nutshell really. Even now they are deliberately witholding a report into the grooming scandal.

Many years ago the BBC did a six month undercover investigation of the BNP (I think or one of the far right groups). The worst they could uncover after was the leader blaming Muslims for grooming young children in Northern cities. At the time I thought what is this BNP bloke on about? And is the the best the BBC can do after spending a fortune? Well the BNP maybe scum but they were right. I look forward to seeing the BBC undercover investigation into local officials covering up the scandal, I won't hold my breath or take a knee though.

Edited by DanH (05 Jun 2020 10.28am) Without the context of Katie Hopkins tweet I am with PVA. Why did she have to mention white Christian? Many blacks are Christian so that will be a silly comment to make. PVA was entitled to respond as he did. I like Katie Hopkins but sometimes she goes to far.

PVA was entitled to respond as he did. I like Katie Hopkins but sometimes she goes to far. I’ve also found her Twitter feed. On her video she makes some good points and asks some good questions. Unfortunately she always goes too far and has used every single opportunity to devalue the BLM protest. Some of those again are good points but some aren’t or are from different sectors of a whole community. I can’t find the Christian tweet. Found it. It isn’t clear what PVA is objecting to exactly but it might be her tweeting anything she can find to devalue or provoke the BLM protest with some of it being unlinked or different issues with different groups of black people. Telling PVA to kneel and kiss her ring is low and again only going to provoke. That’s her career though isn’t it. I have heard some balanced discussions with people who disagree with her on LBC on Sunday mornings. Not sure if she’s on any more. Haven’t heard her. Probably got too controversial on Twitter. A lot of the questions she poses are well thought through and I find myself agreeing with a lot of what she says. However, she badly lets herself down with the way she goes about projecting her message. I suppose the modern way is to shock and disturb whichever side of a debate you are on. There doesn’t seem to be much middle ground any more and as a result it appears the intention is to invoke a black or white response (excuse the pun).

Edited by DanH (05 Jun 2020 10.28am) I don't blame the fella for attempting to have a bit of a joke at her expense as she does it enough to others. It's hard to take her seriously though, as her whole shtick is to provoke reactions and get retweets. She's a good example of someone whose character effectively becomes her job, so there's no real sincerity or meaning behind any of her outbursts. There is also no limit to it though which is a worry. I seem to recall that a female singer who she relentlessly tormented about her weight and appearance actually tried to commit suicide. Granted that's not Hopkin's fault because there should be no expectation of people being nice especially on social media. Only, when she returned to public life Hopkins repeatedly came right back at her again with the same bile. To me that's the mark of a sh!tty human being. We make a mistake as a society in holding up people whose currency is cruelty.

Of course they are, again you have misinterpreted what someone has said for your own means. I said “I can separate football and Politics” obviously you are struggling to understand that means I do not mix football and politics. For example those real Palace fans on here whose political views I do not agree with, I hope we could all have a beer together and watch Palace. If a Palace player has different views to me, so what, I would still support him.
