You are so ignorant of our history, its frightening... Though you do sound like Jeremy Corbyn in rightly looking to our foreign adventures in contributing to terrorism in Europe now. Muslim immigration to the UK happened largely 40-60 years ago.Immigration pursuant to Tony Blair was very largely Christian from EU expansion (to which Maggie had agreed) Now, you get back to frothing on a sunny afternoon.. All this is unimportant. What matters is the percentage of Muslims as per the population and the effect that has upon number of terrorist attacks and secularization. If these weren't a problem my calls for action wouldn't exist. The fact that 'progressives' and beta males genuinely are prepared to do nothing is a real problem. Still lots of the activists among them are agitating over the result of a democratic election though and blaming Tories for tower fires without really knowing the facts. It stands in stark hypocritical contrast to certain factors around Islam....where for most of them it's silence and/or blissful ignorance and denial.

We have people demanding the Prime Minister's resignation, as if this were somehow her personal fault. Willo is right in that there needs to be a proper investigation and inquiry into this but his faith that that will be fit for purpose is touching and misplaced. My expectation is that it will be 27 years before the initial inquiry is found to be corrupt and to have covered up the actions of those really accountable, and only then after a lifelong effort by the children and grandchildren of the original victims. That seems to be par for the course for tragic events caused by incompetent public servants in this country. Quite what the Muslims have to do with any of this beats me.

I'm afraid I have to agree. Gussett you lurch from one tragedy to the next - desperate to bring down the government as though you're a latter-day Robin Hood. You've even posted excerpts from the 'Middle East Times' in a desperate to find something, anything, that will allow you to shake your stick at the government and pretend you are a Moral Crusader protecting the poor and innocent and giving a voice to their plight. The Grenfell Tower Fire is a tragedy which any sane person is sickened by and wants accountability following a full and proper investigation. But that's not good enough for you is it? You want to grab your Wolfie Smith scarf and take to the streets shouting "Power to the People." And what if Jeremy Corbyn gets into power? Then you'll find fault with the 'Labour cunds' . Like the Boy Who Cried Wolf you're now a caricature of yourself. "Look someone's died - Tory Cunds" over and over again . It doesn't mean you care more than anyone else or are more sensitive or are acting on behalf of the country. It's just become so boring that you spend your life seeking out injustice so you can dust down your placard, change the words and take to the streets (via the HOL and Twitter). One day you'll have something really meaningful to bring to people's attention and their response will be "Oh. Him again."
Sorry gusset but that does sum you up,and brilliantly said pikester.

Dont give a s*** mate. Whoever was in charge I'd be spitting feathers over this. Judging by the mood of the nation, more and more people agree with me. The mood of the nation is mostly sombre that a tragedy has happened and wanting to know how it happened and why. A few Rent-A-Mob boys with scarves over their faces looking for a bit of looting and a punch up with the local filth- using this tragedy to let us know how angry they are - is not the 'mood of the nation'. The time for spitting feathers is when all the facts are known and someone has been found accountable - or should we just hang someone first and ask questions later?

The politicking from the left is absolutely shameful. Personally I have little doubt that amongst the many factors behind the tragic event, the government's role (current and previous) will come under scrutiny. Using it to try and bring down the current government, to achieve their own political aims shows them up for what they are. The actual victims of this disaster have every reason to get angry, frustrated and even irrational. It is the duty of people not directly and emotionally involved to behave responsibly and not inflame the situation for personal gain. Today alone, I have heard one volunteer angry that the rich council can't go out and buy a block of flats for the homeless. Then you have the accusations that the government are trying to hide the amount of casualties. Yes that would work because the drip drip effect of the news is doing wonders for May's reputation

The most revealng thing you've said on this thread. I don't know how you feel you are in a position to judge 'the mood of the nation' but I suspect you've aligned yourself with the rabble bearing SWP, Momentum and other banners who've hijacked this tragedy in furtherance of their own political agenda. It was you, Gusset, who first (distastefully) politicised this thread and, apart from a couple of muted platitudes, your whole tone on it has been a continuation of your "f*ck the Tories" attitude displayed in proliferation elsewhere on these boards. I will go further, Gusset, and put it to you that you shed crocodile tears over this event while you and others of your kind, the Corbyns, McDonnells, Jones' and and all the other Trotskyites now controlling the Labour Party are in fact rubbing your hands with glee at this opportunity to sow the seeds of further division in the country. Well done. It's working. I will go still further, Gusset, and say that I think you are a loathsome, despicable example of humanity. You've well and truly overstepped the mark. Personal abuse it may be, but I stand by every word. Edited by Cucking Funt (17 Jun 2017 4.43pm)

I asked a couple of days ago, but are you ok Funty?
