No chance for PR. The Lib Dems attempted to get a hybrid electoral system in which was still FPTP but moved in the direction of PR. Had that system been used this time, there would probably have been greater representation from the smaller parties... and this would have made pure PR an irresistible force. Unfortunately, the 2 dominant parties [who dominate BECAUSE of FPTP] went into media overdrive and persuaded the country that the change was an unnecessary and daft namby pamby Lib Dem stunt. We had our chance; it will not come again.

I've never voted Labour in my life, but one thing that has made me tempted to this time round is the sheer arrogance of the Tory campaign and the panic and vitriol of the right wing press. If I see one more publication telling me to vote Tory I might just well put my X in the Labour box tomorrow for the first time in my life.

Debate is over for me... I voted UKIP by post last week. Same, but I voted in person tomorrow.

Blimey. A car with a tannoy in the roof just went past the school urging people to vote UKIP. They're certainly trying to evoke a golden age...

I am just kidding before I get backlash for that Collect one point, for pedantry that is both accurate and amusing to me.

Which basically sums up the British Democratic Process, the illusion of chance and choice. At least UKIP are entertaining and different than the brown party (Blue, Yellow and Red). Sad state of affairs when the SNP seem more relevant to their people than the national parties.
