Not trump, don’t matter Of course it matters, but so does context. If Biden is found to have deliberately retained documents, concealed them and refused to cooperate in their return, it’s a serious matter. If it is an oversight by a member of his team, or even himself, then less so. As every CE does he carries the ultimate responsibility but it seems more likely that procedural lessons are to be learned rather than culpability established.

That ok then, it’s not the POTUS fault unless it’s trump!

I think what this has highlighted is how difficult it is to keep track of thousands of documents I don't believe that either Presidents have deliberately broken the law. All Presidents have a a library when they are finished and just how secret are these secret documents? Cock up more than conspiracy

You can't argue with an obsession. From what I see most on here want equal treatment for, both Trump and Biden, one or two , however, are somewhat blinkered
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

. That depends entirely on how involved each was. In Trump’s case it appears he was deeply involved and this wasn’t something done in error by staff. In Biden’s case that appears to be much less likely. No doubt we will find out more if indictments are issued. If either are culpable then I expect due process to deal with it. I favour neither. My only desire is to see a POTUS behaving lawfully.

The difference. Trump resisted disclosure and the feds had to get back a court order and even after they found classified documents Trump denied they existedand shouted "witch hunt!". Biden opened his doors and apologised. It may be that what Biden has is potentially more damaging to national interests. However perception is all and folk may believe Trump is the worst as he was the one who resisted most.

Only after the mid terms, he kept this under wraps for 8 weeks. Typical misrepresentation. He had no need to say anything at any time. The Justice Department are responsible for handing the investigation into what happened and they also are not obligated to make announcements about an unfinished investigation. Biden is cooperating. Trump’s house had to be raided to gain access, so keeping that quiet was impossible especially as he was shouting witch hunt at the time.

The Democrats started off using this political tactic and now want to frame who holds what using rules they make up. If this was a reality in the past then every president and top official would be under the pump. People only go with this waffle because of political tribalism.
