Wilf has submitted a transfer request and should be allowed to join supposedly Everton if they are willing to pay £70m and throw in Tosin + Bolasie. I agree with this..!! If the rumours are true that Wilf has indeed submitted a transfer request on the day before the transfer window closes - just how petulant and disrespectful is that..!! I say disrespectful because we signed him as a youngster - nurtured him and turned him into decent player to the point Man U came calling. That turned into a nightmare, ended up with on loan to Cardiff a shadow of the player he was with us. So we came calling again and turned him into an £80M player loved and adored by the fans despite his shortcomings - petulance, end product is still very hit and miss and probably plays 1 decent game in 3. But we accepted that and he has/had our adulation - how does he repay us hands in a transfer request day before the end of the window - yeah thanks for that Wilf..!! Beyond that the early window rumours were he wanted to play Champs League football - but his transfer window is to go to Everton perennial 7th, 8th side and iant going to change anytime soon..!! Look as much as we don't want him to go he has shown his real colours now - take £70M plus Touson and Bolasie and we move on..!! It's a hard pill to swallow I know - but if the transfer request is true, he clearly doesn't care about us despite what we have done for him. As I said total disrespect given the timing and what we have done for him - I'd rather go down to the Championship than see Wilf sulking on the pitch for the rest of the season..!! Off you go Wilf we're only interested in players that have the club at heart which clearly you don't. COYP

IF.....he wants to go let him go... He is not bigger than the club. The problem has been, and I said this last season, we have become totally reliant on him. We were in our 6th Prem season last year and we were nothing more than a one man team which is disgraceful. Get shot of him and build again... As strange as it sounds some players may feel more comfortable and more able to express themselves with him not there. IF £70m plus Bolasie and Tosun is true, plus McCarthy, Cammarassa and Cahill signed plus another one or two before tomorrow night then I don't think theres to much to be sad about. Sounds like Teen Wolf, or Team Wilf, only Wilf messed up every single one on one. Can’t deal with the highest pressure.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Bearing in mind that we only finished 5pts below Everton last season, they can well and truly shove their dross players up their arses. No offence to Yannick but that ship has sailed.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Someone will step up, maybe a couple , if he goes. It can’t be easy playing in a team where everyone is always looking to pass to one player. Plus it’s easy for other teams to defend against . If he has put in a transfer request now, then he’s a c*nt, same as Pullis , would like to see him fail if he has, (think there’s a very good chance that he will flop outside of SE25.) Bit of excitement now I’m looking forward to the season more now. It’s been like watching a boring game, last few seasons at home, with no atmosphere and f*ck all happening, then a sending off and a penalty and everyone livens up.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle I think it's the Everton thing that will piss people off more than anything... All this stuff he talked about playing at the highest level and playing Champions League football... Well if that were true I totally understand. Will never put a man down for wanting to better himself.. But f*** me he's hardly going to get that at Everton is he??… They only finished 5 points above us last season FFS.... Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

What was that Noades quote about players wanting to leave Palace and only one of them was Wright?

What was that Noades quote about players wanting to leave Palace and only one of them was Wright? If he walked in and put in a transfer request after the last game of last season, it would be different. A day before the window shuts, if he has, has got ‘c*nt’ written all over it.

Edited by kennybrowns leftfoot (07 Aug 2019 6.02pm) He is covered a bit by not should wanted to go to a champions league club, but if Everton weren’t offering £200k or £220k or whatever it is, do we think he’d go there? This does have an element of them not being able to buy the real deal yet so Zaha is an almost type purchase.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle The problem is that, if the transfer request is true (which it may not be), then a player can't really do this the day before the deadline. Otherwise you're forcing the club to take the offer(s) out there. Which Parish won't do. I strongly believe my earlier statement, which is that he sat down with Parish at the end of last season and they both agreed he could move on if the situation and price were right for the club. It isn't. He was at practice yesterday and seemed happy. I can't see him leaving.
