I'm a realist mate. To invest we need investors. They're not exactly forming an orderly queue are they! And you have to ask why! If you think we can sustain paying 10's of millions on players fees and ridiculous wages then you're very much mistaken. The money has run out due to paying players vast amounts in wages and spanking dough on Benteke, Sakho @ 30 million a pop! Quite where do you think all this the money comes from? Then paying Wilf £135k per week ... not to mention all the other transfers and wages we've paid. In simple terms, look at Cahill ... he's 33 but still commands £75k per week ... that's £4 million on his wages alone! It's not rocket science. And I'd rather watch Championship football knowing we're not staring down the barrel of a 3rd administration in a few years cos we over spent again (!) to keep us in the Prem for another season ...

£70m plus Tosun and Mcarthy. Its a done deal. Buy in one more striker, then sell Benteke abroad. You just don't get that any player we get instead of Zaha will be nowhere as good. We have already sold one of the best defenders in Europe. Shall we just ask the FA if we can play in the Championship this season?

By this time tomorrow my prediction is Wilf gone for cash £70m. Tosun and Mccarthy are Palace as is Camarasa and obviously Cahill. Where's the pace, creativity and penalties going to come from next season? It's only when we got batman on loan that we started to have a goal threat up front. That was with Zaha in the team. If he goes we are in serious trouble, and we will be about as effective up front, as Huddersfield were last year.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Wilf has submitted a transfer request and should be allowed to join supposedly Everton if they are willing to pay £70m and throw in Tosin + Bolasie.
