Yup I don't think this is just the BBC. NHS spends a fortune on it as well.

As a general point corporations are a bit like sheep they all head the same way rather than thinking is there are better / cheaper solution.

The companies that buck the trend tend to be the ones that thrive.

For instance Elon Musk chose to ignore all the naysayers about electric cars and Tesla has changed the market they are all jumping on board.

When Amazon first started they reinvested their profits into infrastructure the rest of the internet companies were all about pumping up the share price and then getting out before the the public wised up. Amazon deserved to prosper because it bucked the trend.

One more point

To be fair, putting the TV and seeing no White people has a similar effect on me.

It is a conspiracy theory because it makes assumptions about the future that history tells us won’t be true. Just as my parents fears about the arrival of the West Indians and East African Indians proved to be untrue so will yours. We now have a diverse British nation, but it is still British with some of those who arrived decades ago being the proudest members. It just needs working on, rather than the isolation, rejection and hostility that you practice and advocate.

Whenever I read the term “White British” my flesh crawls. I know it’s a term used by government but I sincerely hope for not much longer. We don’t describe Asians as light brown, or Arabs as dark brown, but we lump huge numbers of disparate people into black or white categories. This is worse than useless. It encourages skin colour based racism. If someone is Welsh, call them Welsh. Same with Scotland, Cornwall or Ireland. Their skin colour is unimportant. Only their attitudes and allegiances matter. We would doubtless see many more categories emerge but better that than skin colour based racism.

That’s for him to defend. It doesn’t make sense to me, but I am not him doing his job.

I don’t approve of any programme of positive discrimination. I want every decision to be taken solely on merit whilst at the same time striving to eliminate negative discrimination. Some people need to struggle. It’s always been so.
