I could be wrong, but I strongly suspect that BP, ICI, Ford, Barclays, P&G etc. all have a similar spend on similar positions and boast about it on LinkedIn. Yup I don't think this is just the BBC. NHS spends a fortune on it as well. As a general point corporations are a bit like sheep they all head the same way rather than thinking is there are better / cheaper solution. The companies that buck the trend tend to be the ones that thrive. For instance Elon Musk chose to ignore all the naysayers about electric cars and Tesla has changed the market they are all jumping on board. When Amazon first started they reinvested their profits into infrastructure the rest of the internet companies were all about pumping up the share price and then getting out before the the public wised up. Amazon deserved to prosper because it bucked the trend. Edited by Badger11 (29 Nov 2023 6.34pm)

The minority by 2050-2065 prediction by an academic is well on course....in advance probably. Edited by Stirlingsays (29 Nov 2023 2.52pm) WLM

But it's all a conspiracy theory...according to Wisbech and his left wing friends. Oddly though, they have already started with the 'what does it matter' talk. The closer we get to the turning point, the less likely that democracy will halt it. Time is running out for the White British. Soon we will just be a few percent of genes in a small portion of the population. That is what our forefathers worked and fought for. It is a conspiracy theory because it makes assumptions about the future that history tells us won’t be true. Just as my parents fears about the arrival of the West Indians and East African Indians proved to be untrue so will yours. We now have a diverse British nation, but it is still British with some of those who arrived decades ago being the proudest members. It just needs working on, rather than the isolation, rejection and hostility that you practice and advocate. Whenever I read the term “White British” my flesh crawls. I know it’s a term used by government but I sincerely hope for not much longer. We don’t describe Asians as light brown, or Arabs as dark brown, but we lump huge numbers of disparate people into black or white categories. This is worse than useless. It encourages skin colour based racism. If someone is Welsh, call them Welsh. Same with Scotland, Cornwall or Ireland. Their skin colour is unimportant. Only their attitudes and allegiances matter. We would doubtless see many more categories emerge but better that than skin colour based racism.

Come back when you understand population.

It might surprise you but this is something that annoys me too. What is presented on TV should reflect reality and not seek to make political points. Mixed race couples exist and are as normal and acceptable as any other these days. Likewise with gay couples. We have good friends in both groups and think nothing of it. Which is a great reflection on how our society has matured in my lifetime. There is no need for every advert to feature a mixed race couple. It’s not real and it risks being counterproductive.

They only do that so they can sell stuff, nothing to do with what they really believe. They just want to seem ok to increase their sales.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

"The new plan will enable the BBC to meet the 50:20:12 workforce targets - announced in September 2020 - in the next three to five years. That’s 50 percent women; at least 20 percent black, Asian or minority ethnic; and at least 12 percent disabled employees."
