How can it not matter? The sight of some millionaires kneeling for four seconds before kicking a ball is a constant reminder of how awful we, our history and our culture are. They should kneel for 90 minutes then play for 4 seconds to further highlight their concern. Don't you believe in the freedom of expression? The players are expressing their opinions, with the blessing of their employer. You too can express yours. If you disapprove you have no need to watch.

And what opinion do you think they're expressing? Inequality in society is bad? Thank God we have these insightful thinkers to point out our inadequacies.

Slightly off post but bear with me. Back in the day I was working in local government. I was having a chat with the nice lady who ran the public baths and noted the booking sheet. Schools obviously took up much space during term time, as you would expect. However, the number of spaces slotted for women only, disability, elderly etc. meant very little left over. I asked her when white able-bodied males were supposed to use the pool. She shrugged her shoulders and said - you don't have a voice. And there's the rub Stirling. We don't. Those folk get airtime because they shout loud. We don't, at least partly, because we don't shout at all. There are the other facts of course, including the hateful woke zeitgeist. But we can't just quietly tut or write angry posts and expect anyone to take notice. One man stands up to this nonsense and he is labeled and pilloried. Half the population stand up... Are "non-white" able bodied males able to use the pool? If not, why mention being "white"? Surely the discrimination is that of able bodied males?

The BBC now understands dialogue is taking place with Ms Fulani's team - but at this stage no further details are being shared." Who are Ms Fulani's people? Her PR company perhaps as the promotional aspects have been priceless

Given this and it is Lady Hussey’s job to establish details if guests ( before introducing them to HRH), some questioning is not unreasonable.

All true, but doesn't alter the fact that the way the persistent questioning and rejection of the answers was not acceptable.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

The woman knew full well what she was getting at and chose to be obtuse and awkward. I don't blame Black people for this kind of assertive behaviour, I blame people like you for excusing it away in some pathetic guilt ridden delusion of virtuousness. You just never see the bigger picture.
