Gloomy, downcast and drizzly here which is kind of foreboding and pointing to a Tory majority of 45.

Hopefully, the sun will burst through this afternoon and get it back down to below 20.

And then an early evening heatwave for a Hung Parliament

Why do you think that? why do you think the electorate will ignore the great wisdom of people like you?

We have now sunk to a depth at which the restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men. [Orwell]

58% or thereabouts of voters will not be voting Tory. Why are you implying they are stupid?

You do realise that some people have and would give their lives just to get a vote.

At least you voted, albeit for a protest group.

But it is up to the politicians to give us something to vote for.

voting for least worse option is hardly motivating.

the dignified don't even enter in the game

A lot more not voting Labour....these are silly points.

This isn't really about intelligence it's about worldview and priorities.

The finger pointing 'stupidity' brigade don't get the cosmic irony that the simplistic nature of their comments imply.

So 42% will? That is a lot.

I believe that it will be good for democracy in the long term if Labour are destroyed this time.

Hopefully, far left ideology will be put to bed for another generation and we can have an opposition that is not run by an agitator but a statesman.

True, but necessary.

Ian Dale was on Newsnight last night along with Paul Mason and a woman I'm unsure of (who she is, not would you, hol'ers).

Dale thought there'd be a majority of something halfway to a hundred. Can't remember where exactly but when he went through every constituency he had it more like 120. He didn't see that happening but gave an example of how inaccurate the polling favouring a labour shock was. Canterbury university would need 100% turnout.

Paul Mason had heart saying a hung parliament but head saying a 20 seat Tory majority but Corbyn fighting a very strong campaign.

I think Corbyn is going to be around for a while and Blairites can do nothing about it. Chukka uMoana is probably glad in secret. More years hiding away.

Incidentally, where has the Chancellor John Hammond been?

which is why I didn't spoil it, I merely considered it as an option, and it was an option, not the right one, hence.

A Tory landslide is good for what exactly?
A strong position in Brexit negotiations? May can deliver the jobs she has promised, all on minimum wage with a zero hour contract!

Strong possibility its around for a while yet and in 5 year's time or sooner after Brexit it may get more momentum. Trouble is there is nobody talented in the PLP to take the baton. There's plenty intelligent enough members however.

The new (thanks Brexiteers) 'Little England/UK' us against the strongest trading block in the world, 27 nations, all sat around the table with May doing her best Don Corleone but sounding more like Donna Havaklu is the best we can hope for.

We will be laughed out of the room.
