Todays first download is a bootleg of Demo's, Outtakes and Rarities by Badfinger that were recorded between 1968 and 1975. These are in superb quality and this is a wicked bootleg. I've not posted many bootlegs by Badfinger - for the simple reason that they are extremely rare to find in good quality. The story of this band is a sad one really, they were nurtured by Paul McCartney for the Beatles Apple record label, and he wrote/produced some of their first hits for them. They were touring almost non-stop - and it got to the band members. Founder member Pete Ham comitted suicide in 1975 - accusing the bands manager of ripping them off for millions, and a few years later another band founder member Tom Evans also took his own life. This boot is what they were like - they do a couple of demos of the classic hit "Without You" - a song they wrote which was a massive hit for Nilsson and has now been covered by over 100 artists. Badfinger were a really good band.... this is thoroughly recommended... Todays second download is a set by The Fall that was recorded in Munich, Germany in 1984. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from an FM broadcast of the show. This is a top set which features tracks from the bands "Wonderful & Frightening World" & "Perverted By Language" albums. If you like The Fall this is thoroughly recommended. Todays extra download is a set by King Crimson that was recorded at the Fillmore West in San Francisco in December 1969. For a bootleg that was recorded over 40 years ago the quality of this is superb. The audio has been taken from the soundboard and sounds great - really top notch. This is only a short set and I doubt if this is the entire show - but the content is wicked. Starting with "In The Court Of The Crimson King" - which is probably their most famous track, the band are tight with Greg Lake on vocals and bass on great form. I've not posted many KC boots - because good quality ones are rare - so grab this one.... thoroughly recommended...
