What do people think the chances are of May being forced to step down if she doesn't achieve the landslide she was supposed to? Think there'll be many Tory back benchers plotting her demise already.

In the short term I don't think they will as it would damage the party. That's not to say it wouldn't happen before the next election.

I think everyone will sit tight until Brexit, then if it is a crock of s*** they can torpedo her

Whoever wins this election is buggered for the one after, as being in charge of the Brexitt negotiations, coinciding with a period in which the next global slowdown and recession will arrive, will be a bit like getting the Manchester United job after Fergie left.

Still, at least the UK will be out of Europe by the time said global slowdown and recession means that the Eurosceptic opposition now in place across Europe will come to power in their next round of elections in 5 years' time.

I actually think it'll be tailor made for Labour to get in if they fail this time round...in order to make Brexit work we need to ween[sp] ourselves off of the reliance of certain aspects of our current economy...the Finance sector being the biggest; and build up the manufacturing base as well as infrastructure.

Moving forward once the split has been made we'll need a far more balanced economy.

Interesting times ahead.

You can't use "we had the biggest period of uninterrupted growth" in the same paragraph as the crash. That was one of the reasons for the crash, unstable growth that didn't really exist.

Neither party are particularly appealing and I don't trust either. I just couldn't put my faith in Corbyn at all.

I voted Green this morning for this very reason. I didn't feel comfortable putting my name against Labour or Tories for different reasons. If the Greens get more seats then more environmental concerns will get on the Parliamentary agenda, which isn't a bad thing.

Do spoiled votes get included in the percentage that is given for the number of people that voted overall? I think they do because I'm sure they give out figures of spoiled votes

I ask this as I feel if someone doesn't know who to vote for, party they support isn't sitting in their constituency or perhaps they feels 'it's not worth as they don't tell you the truth' you should go and vote in some way even though it will be spoiled like - ticking more than one box, write down the party if they are not there and tick next to it or even write on the slip 'not worth voting'.

I say this because you can say you went and voted, this may seem pointless as it will be spoiled but I feel its better that doing nothing.

I was thinking of spoiling my vote but I wanted it to count for something so voted Green

You do realise that some people have and would give their lives just to get a vote.

At least you voted, albeit for a protest group.

They report the number of spoilt ballot papers when reading out the final count.

It's pretty much the only way to show you are willing to vote, but all the options are terrible.

The old 'none of the above' thing doesn't have a lot of clout does it. Voting generally doesn't change much I guess but we should be grateful for the stability at least. Life in Britain is good relative to most of the world.

We had a load of people voting Green and ended up with a government that was hamstrung and could not get strong policies past the tree huggers. Not a good idea.

I will vote and always have, however it is a persons democratic right not to/ spoil their ballot if they choose. I don't blame some people as the system is out dated and ridiculous.
I live in an area where the second placed party are 18000 votes behind. I will vote for them even though there is no chance of my vote changing anything, I therefore don't blame people less engaged in politics that exercise their right to abstain.

Gloomy, downcast and drizzly here which is kind of foreboding and pointing to a Tory majority of 45.

Hopefully, the sun will burst through this afternoon and get it back down to below 20.

And then an early evening heatwave for a Hung Parliament

More like a 60 majority.

Labour to get the kicking they deserve.
