I would be quite surprised if Roy goes. Just my prediction based on no evidence, he will stay until mid March and should Palace gets 7 points until then by not losing against any relegation competitor, he will stay (because probably then Palace will be up), if not and we fall into relegation zone, i predict Big Sam as a firefighter.

Here's a plan. Throw a new player from outside the Premier League into a traditionally fiery game. Play your reserve goalkeeper instead of your tried and trusted goalie who is fit and on the bench. Play a centreback in midfield when there are 4 midfielders on the bench. Play a central midfielder on the right wing when you have a talented young winger on the bench and then keep swapping the wingers over until half time. When your best centreback gets injured, move the centreback in midfield back to replace him and bring on a debutant attacking midfielder and play him in holding midfield. Then move the proper holding midfielder to attacking midfield. Ping a pass from short range to the makeshift holding midfielder so he can be caught on the ball and destroy his confidence when the opposition score. When the game is out of reach at half time, take the make do winger off and replace him with an injured winger. After 9 minutes take off the now seriously injured winger and play with 10 men. After a couple of minutes put on the left winger but play him on the right wing. When your solitary striker scores with his only opportunity, replace him. You might as well replace the attacking midfielder at the same time.
That's mental

Talking of Freedman, what must the new signings be thinking? If we step back for a minute, we have arrived at a place no-one ever thought possible. A premier league club, not yet in the relegation zone, but with the distinct possibility that it is seen as a career limiting move to come and manage a top sporting asset! There must be lot's of back channel communications going on amongst those in the know, such as agents, respected journalists, pundits etc. etc. probably to the tune of "don't touch it with a 10 foot pole". Working for Parish with Freedman and Brighty is probably seen as a loosing proposition. Dug themselves into a real hole.

I used the expression "painted himself into the corner" regarding Parish - some here disagreed but I think it's accurate. His options appear limited. Clean slate strategy for next season depending what we league we end up in seems a reasonable option.

It's being reported that our short listed candidates for the managers job, do not want it!

That’s not good. But I get it. If we go down it will look bad on them
