You could have something there, I was listening to the defence minister today on the radio, before the attacks, saying an attack is imminent, I thought if you are so sure it"s coming why don"t you stop it!I also thought it would be a great exit strategy for us, then it happened, bit fishy!

How do you stop it?
I believe there are two ways into the airport & you probably have 40,000/50,000 people pushing to get in, the entrances are narrow with an open sewage canal running parrallel to the walkway which afghans have been standing in upto their waist to ease the crush, its the perfect killzone.

The perimeter is controlled by the taliban.
All you have to do is fill a rucksack full of explosives and patiently wade your way towards the entrance and push a button, im fairly sure the Taliban waved through the bombers anyway.

The problem is the american order to not leave the airfield & secure a wider perimeter.
We have thousands of Taliban and isis surrounding the airport on all sides, they can literally send in as many suicide bombers as they like, its so crowded its impossible for anyone to ID a bomber let alone shoot one without killing everyone stood shoulder to shoulder with the bomber.

Were so f***ed if isis and the Taliban wanted to overrun the airport im fairly sure every western soldier in that airport would be massacred in the space of a day.

The mountains are calling & I must go.

It stinks. Its clear that this 'noble enemy' narrative is the line they are taking ever since our highest Army commander went on TV and said that Taliban were just 'country boys' who did not like corruption.

And this entire spiel about the Taliban warning of an imminent attack has been pushed for hours today, well before the actual bombs went off.

Supposedly the gates to the airport are being welded shut, even as I write this but I have to stress, that is from sources I would not vouch for 100 per cent.

You seem to have it sussed Matov, I just don"t trust any officialdom in a crisis, even without it, thats why I was pondering the" get out" clause.

Yeah, no idea how to stop it, it"s just the government bloke banging on about an attack being iminent, seemed a bit staged, but it"s a strange theatre I suppose.

Would biden really assasinate his own troops. That is what is being said. There would be too many knowns for this to be a set up IMHO. Collateral damage and friendly fire is one thing. Killing your own troops to garner a full stop is jail time if not the death penalty. Maybe the isis line is false but to sanction this is something else. I'm not buying it, sorry.

Not deliberately no.

However, this whole situation is of his incompetence and making. The airport has been a sitting duck for sometime.

I wouldn't want to be on that last plane out either.....fifty fifty it has a rocket accompany it out.

We will have forward observers and special forces dotted amongst the crowd/area as well as Taliban that are feeding us info so its no surprise we do get information.
Ill be interested to see if they do play the poor taliban card in the coming days.

The US should have kept more airports open and their surrounding areas secure.
This reduces the desperate crowds and makes it easier to manage.
This also gives western citizens more options of getting out the country rather than running the gauntlet that is taliban perimeter.

Biden ignored his advisors and went with this strategy.

I agree, false flag coordinated and planned by the British & US governments. Both were saying it would happen around today's date. Now the focus is being taken away from their sheer incompetence while trying to gain sympathy and blaming Isis-K. Nothing surprising at all. They can't point The finger at Taliban as they are about to release huge previously frozen funds to them.

That makes no logical sense at all.

It doesn't take away from their incompetence at all. You just make nonsense up as you go along.

If that happens and once a few hundred foreigners are held hostage the west will go back. If that happens the rule book has to go. No you shoot I shoot. The woke might be forced to change their thought process. Who would have thought that tearing down statues and cancelling people for nasty words etc could lead to WW3

I disagree. Any politician who reaches the highest office is literally willing to kill to do so if it helps them. Biden has plenty of blood on his hands already.

And let's not forget that the CIA helped flood the US with cocaine hence setting off the crack epidemic which caused the death of possibly millions, along with so much misery and mayhem. These people are literally capable of anything if it helps them achieve their own aims.

A few US soldiers' lives are nothing to these people. All about the optics. And here we have US troops dying side by side with the Taleban, all involved in trying to help people. Making the Taleban now an 'honourable' enemy whilst helping demonise a new horrific one.

Who by the way, were being funded and supplied by the US and the UK over in Syria.

It stinks.

Just seen this briefing from the Pentagon...

Top US commander Gen Kenneth McKenzie confirmed that 12 US military personnel were killed and 15 injured in the attacks in Kabul.

Gen McKenzie said:

US authorities believe the Islamic State group (IS-K) was behind the attacks and the threat of further incidents is "very real"

These might take the form of vehicle-borne suicide bombings or rocket attacks

The US military is co-ordinating and sharing information with the Taliban to prevent a repeat

US forces believe the Taliban have already prevented some attacks from taking place

Isis-K has shot at military aircraft "without effect", but the US military does not believe they possess man-portable air defence systems (Manpads)

The Pentagon does not believe that additional troops are necessary to secure Hamid Karzai International Airport
Drones and other aerial systems are being used to monitor events and dissuade further attacks...

See what I mean now?
