Doesn't matter , it is still an infringement on national sovereignty which is why I voted to leave. Until the EU gives up insisting on interfering I will not change my opinion on Brexit. Then you voted on a false premise, didn't you? As soon as we joined, we agreed to harmonise our laws in many areas. So have all the others. It's not interfering at all. You either accept the principle or you don't join. If you then think you can do better alone, then you must leave again, as we have. Harmonisation brings huge benefits in common standards and approaches. We used to be able to help shape them, but now we cannot, but will still have to follow them in many areas.

You are right. The world is changing, and rapidly heading for disaster. I did have the guts to vote for Brexit and allow our island nation the opportunity to make decisions that protect itself and not just service the needs of Germany and France. Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (30 Aug 2021 2.19pm) The EU does not just service the needs of Germany and France! It is very much more than that. If you think we are in a stronger position to negotiate anything outside the EU, then I think you are living in a dream world. There is strength in numbers. Immigration, both legal and illegal, would be an issue whether inside or out. Dealing with it on our own though is very much harder. We will always be a preferred destination because of our language. We depend on imported food, much of it from the EU and that's not likely to change. It is though already getting more expensive. Renewable energy is also something that is needed, whether inside, or out. The question is where it is better managed. Once again, there is strength in size.

So the same countries would still be paying for the others. That will depend on negotiations yet to even start.

So remainers could be gullible too. Interesting. As for the type of campaign, according to many remainers the UK would be on its ass by now. Doesn't appear to be at all. Economy nearly back to pre covid, low unemployment, tons of job vacancies. This is a strange time, lots of pent-up demand being released, so difficult to reach too many conclusions. There seems a lot of inflation, and supply shortages, in critical areas too.

Why are we a preferred destination because of our language? Using that logic genuine refugees from Arab speaking countries would seek a safe haven in Arabic speaking countries/ Muslim in Muslim. Many coming over the Channel are from French speaking Africa but choose not to stay in France….fact. Gatwick getting many Spanish speaking Panamanians, who transit through Spain but choose to come to the UK.

So you can't reach a conclusion on positive stuff but have already concluded that brexit is bad for the UK. Just what are the lottery numbers wissie; pm me and we will both be minted I'm sure.

From both immigration & local polygamy. So those countries are already 'full'
