Give it a rest. No-one who posts on these boards can forsee what is going on within the boardroom. I, for one, like people like Dazza to post.
For what it is worth, I think the Club have been sold down the river by the Americans and that is why no decent transfers happened (although I do think Camarasa will be good) . SP must accept a lot of the responsibility for this I am afraid. He wanted them in, for what purpose? How many Americans have turned out to be good owners in the PL?

Give what a rest exactly?

I was just stating my amusement

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Someone I know has money on Hodgson being the first PL manager to go.

Probably because ,he is being used as the fall guy, for a board that hasn’t given him anything near the support needed.
By his own admission after the Bristol, game he needed players in positions that have not been filled. The season before, he said if we wanted to avoid being relegation fighters he needed more new faces than he ended up getting.
He should have done what others before him have done , and left of his own accord. Maybe that’s still on the cards.I for one would not blame him.
Today was a bad day all round , but only a one goal loss, a goal that a quality right fullback would probably have stopped happening. He asked for one of those and didn’t get one.

Reading the match report on sky sports this is what Hodgson said
"I don't think we worked hard enough up front, were good enough technically or played good enough football to get back into the game after the goal - and that's born out by the fact we hardly had a shot in the second half.

"That's inadmissible, but why? I don't really know. The quality we have is far better than we showed in the second half. We showed some quality before half-time but in the second half we couldn't get back on level terms."

I really don’t know what planet he is on. My reading of that game was that was a horrendous performance from a team of professional footballers who have been in the top league for 7 years. The fans pay bloody good money to travel the length and breadth of this country following their team for a crap performance like that.

If you state that we have quality in our team and that quality is not performing then there is something wrong with the manager’s tactics. Training methods etc. its all very well saying that we didn’t work hard enough up front. For players to work up front they need service and they didn’t get that, in fact the whole team didn’t work hard enough for the strikers to work up front . Roy needs to open his eyes this is not a one off bad performance its week in week out. The fans deserve better.

Today has to be one of our worst performances in years against an extremely limited Sheffield United side. We haven't replaced AWB and haven't brought in any goals, if you don't have a striker who scores goals you will always be struggling at the bottom end of the table. Also playing Max Meyer out on the left does not make any sense as we have better wide men than him at the club, you either play him central or don't play him at all. Problem we have now is we have too many central midfield players who all provide similar qualities (apart from Meyer but is regularly put out wide just to accommodate). Townsend being taken off for McCarthy today when you are chasing the game is utter madness and to not bring on Ayew after last week is perplexing and demoralizing for him.

It looks like the summer transfer window has really costed us but i hope we can rectify in January.

While the ownership issues may be part of the problem, the investment for Americans will be worth a hell of a lot less if we’re relegated.
You would think it would be in their interests to ensure that Palace are as well positioned as possible to avoid yet another struggle.

Certainly some scenario is sucking the money out of the club as we weren't willing/could not spend out £15-20 million a player for a striker/right back, which was the norm in the transfer window. Unfortunately this is the market and cannot see it changing for quite some time. We should of had a decent starting 11 with all the deficiencies/loss of players filled in an attempt to rectify them. Instead the deficiencies remain and we look weaker in certain areas than last season.

Much as I love Uncle Roy and he’s been hampered by our poor window, we all know there’s losing and there’s losing, and today was about as bad as it gets without getting a good hiding, totally clueless and lacklustre, players looking uninterested and looking like they’d rather be somewhere else. I’ve got a feeling SP won’t let it go on too long.

I fully agree IMO Benteke did not work hard enough, he did not hold the ball so others would make space around him and he was poor in the air against defenders who were last season playing in the championship. This result sums up the progress this team is not making and the mess that Parish et-al have got us in to again!

Again! ..mess what mess? we were out fought that was all, our game is to wear teams down and hit them on the break, they just defended as a team brilliantly against us all game.

Everyone needs to calm down.
