Then again the knife may have been in his hand against another kid.
Sorry to say it Stirls but they know exactly what they are doing and dont give a f*** about anything but money, and being the big man. Sad.

I get the cynicism, and in many cases it's going to be accurate.

You know I hold pretty strident views in this area and that I blame this whole sh1tshow on the idealism of egalitarians....but that's an holistic view and a historical resentment which will probably never leave me.

However when it comes to dealing with an individual violent death of a 14 year old I still view this with regret. Let's not forget that I'm a former teacher and I worked with teenagers for many years.

It's a future lost and possibility a redemption lost too.

But like I say....this doesn't change my opinions on the madness of how we got here.

Totally respect your viewpoint.
Mine is completely different having had to deal with it professionally and been on the receiving end in civvy street.
I don't/can't do empathy and pretty much feel you reap what you sow.

I'm not sure that we need to conjure up an timeline where this kid is out stabbing people, to justify why this is a fate he somehow deserved. Of course if we view the kid as bad to the core we can easily not give a sh!t, but clearly that isn't likely the full picture and there are surely different considerations to factor in when someone makes bad decisions at 14 than say at 20 odd.

Nobody is forced to take drugs and nobody is forced to sell them. Many people in society don't take drugs, those that choose to prop up a demand that wouldn't be there without them. There isn't one side that's pure evil, and one that's victim through and through. They are all people making hopelessly bad decisions that they perceive holds some kind of benefit for them, when in reality it doesn't.

To expect someone at 14 to fully grasp what he's becoming part of when he's basically a trumped up delivery boy isn't realistic. It's probably a position he was effectively groomed for and it would be quite easy for a kid with bad guidance, and getting in with the wrong crowd to reason away what he's doing at that age. It's definitely a very bad path for all concerned, but it doesn't make him evil incarnate by any means or deserving of getting stabbed to death.

I would hope his father would have reeled him in.

This is all a non argument.
Being angry or sympathetic won't change things but the hard facts are that boy knew driving an uninsured moped delivering drugs was wrong and society is better off without him, lives saved fact.

Yes, even in tough environments, family play a key role and can quite literally be the difference between life and death.

What’s going on there anyway?
Why don’t people just disperse anymore when plod turn up?
What is it about that sound of those teenage girls squealing I hate?

Arrest all of them, beat them up and drop them off on Bromley Common somewhere.

Why do black people have to be so confrontational, if told to go away by police, just go, and they wonder why racism is getting worse...

And everything has to be to the tune of rap gang music. Frankly pathetic but also ridiculous that we put up with it.
I will say that it is obviously not all black people. There are scumbags of all colours these days. Good and bad in all.
