That said, with the loss of AWB and still not having a striker I'm finally on board with the vision. Him and Parish are a match made in heaven, he's perfect for us.

His performance without the goal was immense. He didn’t let Pogba dictate the game and ran his bollocks of as he has been doing consistently. Top signing and I’m so pleased for him to have taken the goal so calmly.

PVA's in and I knew it was Ayew works his Boll**ks off - but he know's where the goal is!

The lengths you lot go to to convince yourselves that this is anything other than a ridiculous waste of money is astounding. Squad player? Strengthen the squad? Yeah, ok. Why not bring back Chungy and Mutch whilst we're at it and toss 5 million at equation? Absolute bargain given how a lot of you are deluding yourselves into thinking that signing Ayew, a proven crap player and relegation albatross, is a good idea. Edited by ChrisGC (24 Jul 2019 2.03pm) Glad he's proving some of these haters wrong. At $2.5m, Ayew is proving to be a good bit of business. Our best player so far in the early season start. Working his socks off. So pleased for him.

I started this thread because JA was looking awful when RH chose to use him. His attitude seemed poor too. As time has gone by it is clear that at the moment we have no better choice to do the job he is doing, and doing reasonably well. And that goal was taken sublimely. Thank you Jordan.

Nail on the head. The way we play we aren’t going to create that many chances so when we do it will be important to stick a high percentage away. We generally struggle with this so hopefully with a run in the team Ayew can prove his detractors wrong.

I wouldn't say I was a hater but given some of his lacklustre performances and almost nil goal threat last season I was a bit deflated when we signed him even at the cut price deal we got him for . I really did think we would buy another striker and he would be occasionally seen on the bench at best . Im very glad to report however that we have actually signed his twin brother and not the Ayew we had last season . His non stop running , link up play and general determination to put in a performance should make his brother ashamed to call himself a footballer . Well done Jordan (Palace and Proud) Ayew
