This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

So, its ok for others to displace existing ST holders to *Ahem* create a better atmosphere In this scenario I believe so, I agree it's been handled very poorly which I have alluded to in the HF thread. you wouldn't want to displace another ST holder in the seat you wanted. When did I say that? I would love to be able to ring up and choose which seat I wanted on a bi-weekly basis. (or be able to) displace another ST holder in the seat you wanted. Correct, I am one, the HF are many. There is a massive difference there which I think you know but are choosing to ignore. Hope that clears it up for you.

Am I missing something here? Do we want a singing section? Yes. Does one improve Selhurst Park? Yes. Did we have one already that functioned perfectly well? Yes. So why are we moving people? Just because they want a better view? They asked, the club said no so they should have said "fair enough, back to block B we go". Instead they threw their toys out the pram and boycotted the place. They're not real fans...

They're not real fans... The HF want to expand. SP and the board want them to expand and have probably made promises in that respect, hence toys being thrown petulantly from the pram (poor form agreed). Keeping the HF in the corner doesn't allow them or the atmosphere created to grow. Agreed, they could have moved existing ST holders out of the corner and introduce the singing section there instead but this would still lead to arguments like the ones taking place on this thread. Existing ST holders would still be being forced out of their long held seats in order for the expansion. Clearly SP and the board (as well as the HF) would rather they be central, for branding reasons / Sky TV / having a wall of noise behind the goal, (for a better view of the pitch from the HF perspective i'm not so sure but cannot confirm or deny.) The decision has been made to introduce a singing section, those making the decisions (SP & the board) see the value of this being directly behind the goal. I am sure they have weighed up the pros and cons of expanding the corner instead but have made a business decision for the benefit of the club. That would be my reasoning as to why the decision has been made but feel free to shoot me down as I am sure will happen in due course
