That was by far his best performance of the season. And no one can say he had it easy. Not only did he have to deal with one of the best offensive sides in the country, but also a number of changes in personnel in front of him. Looked very calm today. Maybe it wasn't just Wayne. Maybe the coaching had more to do with it than just blaming the keeper. When you look at Mandanda he has never looked half the player he did overseas so again is that partly down to coaching?

Some people are like Slinkies … not really good for anything, but you can’t help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs.

Wayne was brilliant today and deserved the plaudits. In all fairness, he also deserved the barracking he'd received previously. Hopefully he will be like Speroni - a f***ing awful start but ended up becoming our best keeper ever.

Define 'Start,' he has been here a while.

Playing in behind a decent defence has done him the world of good. Played well today.

Still he did let one in so no doubt that will be the focus of debate.

He has never been as bad as some on here make out.
Unfairly slaughtered for everything just because he replaced Speroni.
He will make more mistakes and have some more bad games but he is the best we have at the moment.
People claiming to be experts saying the keeper situation needs to be adressed in the summer are saying what everyone knows and forgetting that we did address the Keeper situation last summer and we got Mandanda.

I also have been a critic, so well done Wayne, but it should be said it's only one good game, to be a good keeper he has to produce that kind of performance at least every 8 games out of 10.

and it's goodnight from me.......

I have always been a strong supporter of Jules and had many goes at Wayne, BUT today he shone like a bright light and proved he has been working hard in training with the new goalkeeping coach and has turned his nightmare games in to something that makes him man of the match. The saves he did today were world class and he did not fluff his lines. WELL DONE Wayne keep it up.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

So you slag off people who support one of players, but you were cheering him on today?

Every goalkeeper will benefit from a strong defence. Don't think he's good enough to be our number one but doing well at the moment. Any previous criticism of him has not been undeserved.

So he didn't play well today?
