Common AP you only have 8 days left to sgn him.

Get off the fence and do a deal, top priority.

It's plainly obvious we're trying to get a deal done on forwards permanently but are probably being knocked back on bids. Therefore they or we buckle or we settle on Adebayor to tide us over for a few months for £1mil cost rather than pay £5mil+ more for a player at the level we could get in the Summer.

I think Remy has always been what we want and holding out for him and eventually getting him would make it all worthwhile.

It will be a long drawn out game of bluff and counter bluff until someone moves and then sets off the chain reaction. I hope it is Remy though!

Based on what exactly? Because it ain't f***ing 'plainly obvious' to me.

Close to signing a 16month deal, not sure of the ins and outs but Tottenham willing to pay the difference for 4 months.
Only reason it hasn't happened is AP is waiting on Chelsea to sign a striker to see if they will release Remy as AP & Sp prefers Remy .
The Chelsea Pato deal was suppose to go through last week hence the delay in any Palace signings.
Again from what I have heard…...

This sounds quite likely. The higher revenues next season will pay for his salary demands and over 16 months he will get his march sharpness back and we will get a proven PL striker. Pardew must be confident he can bring out his best qualities

I hope that's true and will keep my fingers crossed that Chelsea sign Pato

Because if they weren't then they would just go ahead and sign Adebayor. If people think AP & SP have been sitting around without contacting agents or making enquiries with other chairmen then that's up to them. But if we were going to operate like that then we'd have to have one eye on relegation within 2 seasons. AP wouldn't want to stick around and neither would the best of the squad.

It's also likely that in the summer we'll have Chamakh, Campbell and Gayle off the books and wage bill with some money in for FC and DG.

Hopefully we'll then have 3 decent and capable forwards who can actually play the lone role and look at getting a proper number 10. Things will hopefully look very nice by then, but I agree we need to get someone in before then for the short-term, or a perfect fit for the long-term.

I completely see the EB £1mil for a few months route than being stiffed for £5mil more than necessary immediately.

What do you want them to do, copy you in on all their emails?

Transfers haven’t been completed but they don't all come off - that is plainly obvious.

There's a few possibilities.

1. They're making enquiries and prices quoted are too high.

2. They're waiting for something to fall into place. A sale chain.

3. EB is our plan B.

4. EB is our plan A and we're waiting for no reason to sign him other than to just wait.

5. AP & SP are sitting around playing candy crush.

EB? You mean there's three names in this mix? Sounds complicated
