Which is entirely possible knowing how some people work Reuters.

Any politician worried about being called "nasty" wouldn't last long these days. The problem isn't the principle it's how to manage it without the costs outweighing the benefits. If the plan to limit immigration only to those who already have a job offer worth in excess of £25k is adhered to then many low paid jobs are going to remain unfilled unless the balance between working and drawing benefits is redrawn. We will see. It's nothing though to do with this thread! Not for this thread but I agree that if you come off benefits to working then you should always be financially better off after all bills to even a nominal amount.

Who cares about legal issues....Trump has been dealing with legal issues for decades. The reality is that Trump won't be damaged either financially or serve anytime in jail and all this waffle about 'oh they are going after him, he's going to jail', is just so much lefty wishful thinking. Money is power....To be honest I'd prefer it is Trump actually felt genuinely threatened because then he might start using the power he actually has and what's inevitable would advance more quickly. Edited by Stirlingsays (08 Jan 2021 4.29pm) You might not care about legal issues and Trump may well have fought/bought off many legal challenges for years but this is different. He is no longer Trump the big mouth dodgy businessman turned reality TV "star". This will be Trump the ex-President with his opponent the USA who he won't be able to buy off. They do care about legal issues and have done for the past 4 years as his behaviour, immunity from prosecution and escape from impeachment became more and more infuriating. Now this has happened and he is rapidly becoming isolated with only those likely to go down with him still by his side. The most significant recent critic may well turn out to be Bill Barr, who undoubtedly knows a great deal more than any of us and could be a significant witness. So I think he will be in trouble and after Biden is inaugurated his new AG Merrick Garland, who was nominated by Obama for the Supreme Court but stymied by McConnell, will have the job of overseeing all the prosecutions resulting from the events on Weds. I suspect we may well see a "Special Prosecutor" appointed tasked with investigating all aspects of how these events happened. Who planned them. Who incited them. Who failed to prepare for them. Such an investigation would run parallel to those being conducted by the FBI into those directly involved. So who would be a suitable candidate to undertake such an investigation? Who has the experience, contacts, abundant energy and resilience to handle the type of people likely to need investigating? One name springs immediately to mind. James Comey. Now wouldn't that be sweet irony! The only problem seems to be that he doesn't want the gig and appears to believe that Trump ought not be prosecuted. Maybe that's just establishing his lack of bias in advance! Edited by Wisbech Eagle (08 Jan 2021 10.47pm)

Edited by Wisbech Eagle (08 Jan 2021 10.47pm) I question how much real repercussion he will face, Biden seems to be adopting the 'look forward not back' mantra of Obama. Weak in my opinion because the GOP wouldn't afford the same to the Dems if the boot was on the other foot. I think Trumps real trouble will likely be Deutsche Bank, with his private banker leaving the bank a few weeks ago they are going to come looking for their money. How much he has covered the debt with his own supporters money off the 'legal fund' grift will remain to be seen. Democracy itself has been threatened and it will probably have to demonstrate that it remains the solid rock upon which all who try to destroy it get destroyed themselves.

Ted Cruz now distancing himself from trump, after Lindsey Graham. Rats, utter and complete rats, leaving the sinking ship. Make no mistake, this ship will sink. To think that billionaires don’t face justice in this era is to forget trumps pal Jeff Epstein. Trump will attempt to self pardon, and that will be shot down by the Supreme Court. That doesn’t matter though, as trump will go away for a long old time on state charges alone. There are literally hundreds nay thousands of prosecutors, lawmen, FBI or whatever that will dedicate the rest of their lives to nailing trump to the wall. He has the biggest target on his back in human history. He shall know no peace, no relaxation, no quiet retirement. He will be sitting with his team of slimy lawyers for several hours every day, until the day finally comes when he is marched off to jail. The great trump experiment has failed. He has been exposed for what he is, and the GOP is now slowly and quietly moving away. A sad end, to a pathetic term, of a silly little child of a man.

A sad end, to a pathetic term, of a silly little child of a man. “Mick Mulvaney, a former White House chief of staff, said Trump’s incitement of the mob compelled him to quit as special envoy to Northern Ireland. He predicted more resignations but said not all disillusioned staff would leave. “Those who choose to stay, and I have talked with some of them, are choosing to stay because they’re worried the president might put someone worse in,” Now it’s getting interesting. When’s the implosion going to occur? It’s as worrying as it is exciting. Which is worrying in itself.
Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons. |

How did trump affect you personally as you are seriously a hateful person. Maybe you were the school bully or the bullied.
