This would be same Dyche that only won 1 away game all season, and that was against us when we had our 3 best central defenders out injured. His style of play isn't exactly great to watch either. Now, I know that we tried to be more expansive and came a cropper at the back, but when we went back to counter attacking, we still weren't lumping it forward aimlessly. Even if he stays at Burnley, I think they will be prime relegation candidates next season. He reminds me of being another Mick McCarthy type of manager.

Their facilities are on another planet to ours. Their training complex is state of the art. Wonder what Pellegrino made of Copers Cope Rd Don't we now have Cryo Chambers since seems stint. Fairly cutting edge considering, but probably still not up there with Southampton. Thing is maybe Pellegrino wants to work somewhere for more than a year and keep the players together. Southampton is a great club, but they do sell all their best players and change managers at a whim.

Reading between the lines DeBoer and Pellegrino will end up in the premier league. Both are waiting on our club's list so it's a case of which one blinks first which will then decide the location of the other. Can't see it being Dyche, although the hostility towards such an appointment seems odd. Yes his away record wasn't great but, for the love of god, what he's achieved at Burnley is sensational!

What he's shown at Burnley is show he's capable of achieving promotion from the Championship, which is not something we'll (hopefully) require, that he's quite capable of being relegated, of scraping survival and has a shocking away record that even their own fans attribute to his having no plan B. He has zero experience of managing players of the quality we have and won't be an attraction to quality players in the transfer market. He's very good at Burnley, but "sensational" is an hyperbole too far.

Where I do feel Frank would be a step forward like Sam was. I hope Pellegrino would as well but if I'm honest I don't know enough about his style to comment.

Almost every 12 months, sometimes less, were either saying FFS sack someone before they relegate us, which drags on way beyond when common sense went out of the window, or we're saying FFS make an appointment because we've got a preseason/transfer window to deal with, whilst the club sets a new record in feet dragging, navel gazing and rumination. Yet we're all still here. It's us that deserve the accolades for putting up with it year in, year out.
