Well they're stupid enough to vote the Conservatives in.... Which sums up the problem of British Democracy, because you'd be stupid to think either Labour or The Conservatives represent the best interests of the UK and its people.

You're absolutely right, of course. The standard/quality/whatever you want to call it of politicians generally is the lowest I can remember. I understand that May performed pretty poorly last night, too.

Personally, I wish nothing but a plague on all their houses but for this election, as I've said before, I think May is the least unacceptable of all the pretenders to power.

Sums it up.

Hung parliament based upon latest polling?

Maybe more chance of a minority government as who is going to want to jump into bed with The Conservatives?

I won't be voting for Labour, the Conservatives, or anyone else for that matter. All of them cannot be trusted.

Which means there is no point in you debating the issue anymore ?????

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

I found that interview a bit naughty. "How much will it cost?" and then when he tries to look it up, giving him grief that he doesn't know it. Do they really expect Corbyn (and May, Sturgeon, Fallon etc) to know the precise costs for every policy in their manifesto? I consider myself a professional, but if someone asks me for a cost or a timescale on a project in a meeting, I'll almost always have to look it up - you just can't carry that amount of number sin in your head. Struck me that the interviewer just wanted to make herself look like Paxman.

I'd rather someone looks it up and gives an accurate figure than do an Abbott and quote eleventy-twelve pounds

I would trust someone more who did look it up. Its professional, even if you think you know the answer to verify it. I do the same, because I deal with a lot of information over the course of a day, and the human mind doesn't work like a computer.

In fact, I think its absurdly stupid to expect people to be memorising facts and figures just for an interview - when they could take the data in with them. Its a waste of their time and taxpayers money to have every interview treated with exam conditions.

Many people on TV and radio have said now Corbyn is getting fairer exposure they are warming to him.

I'm not voting on the basis of the leader though, our local conservative MP is an utter cock - Who really isn't interested in representing his constituents only his own views.

There in lies the problem. Its not really about who the muppet on the stand is. Its about your local MP who will be elected.

That said, we have a crazy running as well from Direct Democracy, who's flyer has him represented as some Dungeons and Dragons character, with a crystal ball, some good old Illuminati pyramids and some classic 1% waffle.

Seriously, it took me five minutes to work out it was an election flyer, and not some kind of new cult thing.

I have now watched the interview, he had two paper pads as well as an iPad. The figures were not on either paper pad.

He was being interviewed about the launch of that specific policy. he should have had those figures to hand, it should have been point 1 or 2 of a list of bullet points.

If the interview had gone on to something else e.g. NHS, then it would be reasonable for him not to know all the figures off the top of his head or have them immediately to hand.

Proper Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance

We know there a lot of gullible idiots in the world.

I wonder how warm they would be when Labour negotiated away Brexit and when they find out how much they will pay in stealth tax to pay for Labour's spending plans.
We can say goodbye to a reduction in immigration or any hope of properly funding care for the old.

Imagine a terrorist loving communist as PM. No thanks.

Completely agree...all this bollox from both sides as well as the media about 'knowing your figures' is shyte...they head the parties, the have others within the parties to do the number crunching. Their job is to lead the party and give it direction...not perform like a dancing bear!

As an analyst myself it amazes me how many people come up to me and say.."do you know how many x we had this year?" when i produce over 150 monthly Performance indicators...like i'm supposed to remember every minutai...I simply say.."not off the top of my head...but i'll get back to you with the figures"

w***ers

Not really sure that the Conservatives are planning to deliver on either of these issues either. They've already begun their preparation for providing some kind method of ensuring a cheap migrant labour force available to UK businesses and have a long history of cutting spending, which inevitably has to come from some internal public service.

I don't mind the idea of more tax for better public services. What I object to is the notion that we can get 'more for less' bullsh*t peddled by political parties.
