Oops. I wouldn’t have been that confident after Gerrard slipped onto his knees like a streatham prostitute days before. That’s the thing with football fans, start celebrating prematurely and look stupid in front of rivals. Chelsea have been laughing at Arsenal and Spurs for years for that reason. We do the same to Brighton. Liverpool will do the same to Everton, although evertonians on in Liverpool would’ve been laughing at them not winning the title for 2 weeks while every single Liverpool fan around the country cries like a baby girl anddwe all laugh at them.

Which is dumb because I don't actually think they're an improvement. well Luka definitely not but he may be playing the running down the contract card so he can get the super huge signing on fee next year at another club we obviously haven't had the cash to tempt him to stay with a big wage hike in the last 12 months Jimmy? He is a great player for us but is getting on a bit - so some forward planning / transition period - well - sensible - I'll go with that one
