So it was just about trump then? Not policy. Of course it's about policy. Trump's attitude produced policies. It affected others. No-one would care about style if it didn't hurt anything, but it did. The latest being democracy itself.

A safety net for the disadvantaged. Paid for by whom. The safety net here is now a wage packet for many the same as it will be in the usa for votes. Trump has said many times he wants people to make the best for themselves with their own sweat and toil. Sadly those very people will be paying for the disadvantaged. Edited by cryrst (08 Jan 2021 11.43am) Where the safety net is drawn is a huge debate which cannot be dealt with in a few words. It's the basic principle that is being discussed. We all want people to be self-sufficient. That's the ideal. I don't want there to be any incentive not to be. Some people though, through no fault of their own, cannot be. In a modern, caring democracy it's the state's duty (all of us) to accept that and protect those people. It's not complicated, or controversial. Nor is it socialism. It's decency and common sense. That's what I believe in and what I believe Biden does too. Let's see.

He's basically a stuffed shirt on a stick so will need some serious polishing if he is to be taken seriously. Luckily he's the son of a miner so he's used to going down holes. Did you see that speech Wisbech? - it was comedy gold. You couldn't make it up.

Fair play, i would suggest the police don"t kill people of any colour, including white people, but if you are just looking after blacks who am i to disagree?

It is no surprise that those two countries endlessly spouting about freedom and democracy, which neither of them actually have, the United States and the 'United' Kingdom, are the worst performers on coronavirus. Their systems are s***e, pander to the fortunate few, these people find themselves forced to be responsible and just cannot handle it.

This integrity of this election was given more attention than any previous one. It wasn't even a close result, in which an odd mistake or two, or even some corruption by either side would have made a difference. It was a landslide. Only those determined to see things that they, or those they trust, imagine cannot accept that.

Have you considered that for years we've all been indoctrinated into the mindset of being able to have what we want and do what we want!

Read what I wrote. People are using it as a way of living because no one has the balls to call it out. No-one calls it out? Untrue. I already said I have no wish to reward those who abuse the system. There must be no incentive for laziness. Only protection for the disadvantaged. I am no soft touch for those who want to milk us. Those able to work must not just be encouraged to work, they must not even be expected to work. They must, if necessary, be made to work
