I don't foresee 'routing' myself. Much of the taken ground hasn't been by large scale battle but by Russian withdrawn due to being outnumbered. The Russians have made mistakes in this area of the front but they have been building up their forces for some time now. Like I say we won't know the real outcome here for at least another week and more but the Russians are claiming that the Ukrainians used up their reserve in this offensive and have taken considerable losses that aren't really being reported....though I think French media recently covered it. Order from the Kremlin for the Russian military to abandon the entire Kharkiv oblast. Huge win for Ukraine & will be interesting what they choose to do with Belgorod as its a staging area for alot of missiles & Rockets.

I'm afraid that virtually all outcomes for Russia are now a defeat, it is hard to work out what their objectives are nowadays, whatever they are they are no way as extensive as Day30 let alone Day1. Beginning to look like hold what we grab in 2014 (hopejully). Hence my thinking of battlefield nukes. Soviet tactics, an unmotivated conscript army and a smattering of contract psychopaths does not seem to work in the 21st century warfare. Edited by Grumbles (11 Sep 2022 4.41pm)

The whole of the northern flank has collapsed

What happens if Russia start shelling from behind their border. Serious question as that would open the gates to Ukraine to fire back into Russia surely.

Targeted fire on a specific target. The more poignant question would they go through Russian soil to capture UKR located objectives. That would provoke a reaction from an authoritarian leader whose thrown away his grip on power. It would appear some posters did not remember Vietnam or CCCP invasion of Afghanistan and preferred to believe the bulls*** from the alt-right Pootin.

Feck Putin, feck Zelensky and feck dimwits who support outcomes that worsen everyone's lives because they're so sold on what the TV set tells them what to think that they can't think for themselves. 'Neo Nazis' what a joke, people with my views were actually fighting the Nazis back in the day. People like you don't know what they are talking about. I don't hide what I think and it remains the same as before. You carry on cheerleading for the gay disco and calling people who think you're nuts Nazis.....don't bother me....you carry on. Edited by Stirlingsays (12 Sep 2022 2.13pm) Back in the day...eh? but not now. I think you show your position with your derogatory comments about the UKR government. Good to know that you believe that there are no alt-right groups fighting their agenda. Reckon that my view is far more balanced than yours, you purely see a western audience that is influenced by western media, I see as a Putin and an alt-right apologist. Afterall it is due to the alien lizard people. As a keyboard warrior I suggest you don't respond so aggressively to everyone that does not have your POV. Perhaps you should jog on? Russia has started evacuating russian villages off the E105 that leads to Belgorod. Threat of Artillery strikes to reduce casualties? Ukraine potentially planning to cross the border & raid these towns? Potential Nuclear strike on Kharkiv & Russia wants to get as many of its own away from the fallout?
