So who is going to deal with that paedophile ring now? Presumably it isn't important enough a mission for the likes of Pence, DeVos, Chao and Mulvaney. They have jumped ship only for the expedience of remaining in politics, sacrificing the children for their own selfish objectives.

Not all those have genuine dissatisfaction and are marginalised by then establishment are idiots. Branding them all idiots because the establishment couldn't convince them to vote for them yet a fly by night could waltz in an clean up at elections should be enough warning that there's something very wrong with the status quo. But the status quo just blame everyone else. The same people calling the protest voters idiots, are the same people who keep saying we need to come together. (People who voted for trump out of an anti establishment protest NOT those f***tards outside the Capitol). The thing I dislike most about the Democrats is that they should win every election hands down, but they don't, as they are run by a bunch of useless old Cronies. Obama was a decent candidate, but everyone else I can remember them putting forward back to Bill Clinton seemed dreadful. I was hoping Trump would win to make sure the Democrats would have root and branch reform, thus shutting out the republicans for decades. Instead I dont think they've learnt there lesson and we are going to be flip flopping between the two for the foreseeable future. Biden's election result reminds me of Labour celebrating in 2017. The performed badly, and were in complete denial of how the majority saw them, giving a completely unjustified mandate to Corbyn. I agree that not all those who feel genuine dissatisfaction and marginalised are idiots. Far from it and hopefully many of them would have been as appalled as anyone else by what happened on Wednesday and feel badly let down, even if they cannot yet say so. It is though the way Trump uses them. He doesn't care about them at all and simply used their anger for his own purposes. Perhaps the light at the end of this tunnel might be a loosening of the grip he has had on the more reasonable within his base. Biden needs to reach out to them.

So trump is going. Who do the left attack now? Edited by cryrst (08 Jan 2021 4.48am) It's not the "left" attacking Trump though is it? It's every decent person who believes in democracy and the rule of law who is disgusted by Trump. Their personal political is irrelevant.

Why does Biden need to reach out to them? This is the point of it all. The Bidens of this world have no interest in Trump supporters. They are the ones who stand in the way of what his corporate paymasters desire the most. The point is that Biden will do nothing other than f*** them over. That is the point of the Democratic, and to a large extent the mass of the Republican Party. Get their jobs transferred to other countries where bigger profits can be made. Globalisation. Only game in town for the career politicians of any hue. Voters are an inconvenience. Especially the ones who are willing to make the effort to actually go and vote rather than have nice people do all of that for them. There is no 'healing'. People on the Left do not want that. Look at here with the Brexit vote. One of the single biggest exercises in democracy ever undertaken in a modern nation. Huge turn out and a clear victory. And yet what do many of the left, most of whom are at least for today the worlds biggest supporters of democracy, do? Throw the kitchen sink at having the votes of 17 million plus rendered invalid. You want to act all high and mighty about what happened in Washington? Fill your boots. The other way around, I would probably do the same. But serious questions have to be asked about how that was allowed to happen. I smell a huge rat on this one. But Biden is President. Happy days. And now we can get back to normal. You know 'normal'. Right? Middle Eastern Wars, dramatic footage of missile strikes, factories shifting to third world countries. But you got rid of Trump. And man who you all told us would never even get the Republican nomination. And then a man who would get massacred by lovely Hillary. LOL. Enjoy your moment in the sun. Its been a while.

The Epstein episode showed that....unlike what many weren't saying beforehand....that stuff goes on and is known about amongst some elites to some degree. However, beyond that it has to pass occam's razor for me. Human nature teaches that the Savile and Weinstein situation can exist for some time because people hedge their bets and don't want to make claims that damage their influence within their circles unless they are certain of a crime.....human nature. A few years ago that would have been dismissed as the rantings of a few paranoid lunatics and yet we have that entire sorry tale exposed with any reasonable person able to accept that it is totally f***ed up not only in terms of the abuse but then Epsteins 'suicide'.

The levels of delusion here are 'rocket man' high. What goes on within the GOP and its base will have nothing to do with Biden....You just don't understand how disliked the Democrats are. Yep....the news cycle changed and so did their attention. They just accept and nod along. They might as well sell their own wool.
