Would you be happy with for £40M plus McAurthur and Wickham for Richarlison to come to us - genuine question..!! If the answer is no then you know the answer to your question..!! You've got delusions of grandeur Mate that you ain't going to fulfil this season or any season soon..!! See you on Saturday..!! COYP McArthur has no place in that analogy - he's an incredibly reliable player, unlike the injury crock that we're reportedly being offered in McCarthy. Moise_Toffee, I'm afraid that nobody on here is going to be excited about taking the dregs off your wage bill and as you can see, we're a little upset that you think we'd like to hand you our best player. The good news for you, however, is that our club is a shambles when it comes to transfers, so there's a good chance we'll take those donkeys off your hands.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Tosun....would have to do a lot to win the fans around after insulting us....McCarthy is a long time target but appears to be an injury risk. I can see how Zaha would benefit Everton massively.....but not so much with the makeweights for us....they might just be average players taking up wages. However, if Zaha is insistent on going Everton may strike lucky. We will all know shortly.

Sell our best player and one who has been the major factor in keeping us in the PL and bring in 2 cast-offs from Everton who have hardly set the world on fire and they cannot wait to get rid of seems totally and utterly ridiculous. One can point to the transfer fee but 25% goes to Man Utd and there is hardly any time to bring in any replacement. I will seriously consider throwing my season ticket into the English Channel if this scenario unfolds and I have been a supporter through all the trials and tribulations since the 60s.The club will be made aware of my feeling in no uncertain terms. I am realistic enough to accept that Zaha would be sold to a bigger club at some juncture but not late in the window in exchange for 2 cast-offs.Nothing definite as yet but the thought of it fills me with dread and hyperventilation.Enough is enough Steve.
Well said Willo. If Everton were to chuck in Richarleson, Walcott or Siggurdson then just maybe....

The club is currently so dysfunctional that even if we wanted to sell Zaha to Everton it's likely they wouldn't have the wherewithal to get done - it's a mess alright

The last time Everton were a force in English football the Berlin Wall was up and the internet didn’t exist and the Everton aspect of this wont be changing anytime soon What's with the passive aggressiveness? I'm being perfectly reasonable. Did a Scouser once steal your missus?

COYP I think Everton have genuine hopes of a top 6 which I think with Zaha would be a lot easier. We have genuine hopes of a top 12 finish, but have a lot of good but ageing players in their thirties so we have to renew half a team, if we can, with younger players where possible, and keep Zaha at Palace for another season if we can. Cahill will be a good mentor for the new players. It’s a tricky situation for Parish to handle without the super rich owners of other clubs such as Everton have.

Not delusions of grandeur mate, merely hope and expectation because I can see a plan slowly forming. Unlike yourselves apparently after reading this board. The reason i asked the question is because it's a situation that feasibly, may occur. Your hypothetical situation is not. I am looking forward to Saturday. A lot. Mate my suggestion is about as feasible as yours..!! Since when have you have you been a "go to club" for top talent and progression into the Champs League - I must have missed it in my sleep..!! We maybe a little way behind you in the "pecking order" of the Prem but a "Country Mile" away in terms of our best player leaving us to join you - dream on..!! If and When Wilf goes and he will but it won't be to also rans like you..!! As I said see you Saturday..!! COYP..!!

Whilst we don't, as you'll have witnessed earlier, tolerate abuse on here, I think you need to bear in mind you're on another team's forum talking about, what for many here, is an emotive subject. If the situation were reversed, and I were on an Everton forum, I wouldn't expect to have the red carpet rolled out and it's not unreasonable to expect that you will receive some robust responses. We do have an Away Fans board for the supporters of other clubs to start threads and contribute to if they so wish. Your comments and questions on this thread have been, as far as I'm concerned, dealt with by most on here fairly and reasonably.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |
