This is seriously worrying, with most clubs reporting back for pre-season preparation at the end of the month and we are still without a manager, no action in the transfer market, which despite what some think we desperately need as we have some serious big holes in the current first eleven and even more so in the squad. SP states he is looking for a long term manager, we have had 7 in the last seven years and this one when appointed will be number eight, so does such a manager exist?, surely results and league position will decide how long he stays, whatever we do need this sorted and quick now!

Whilst I agree about strengthening the squad. Our first 11 is still here Hennessy, ward, dann,Tomkins,PVA,puncheon,Luka,Cabaye, Townsend ,Zaha and Benteke. Without the exception of Sakho. That's still a strong 11. Granted some areas need upgrading like gk,rb,attacking mid in the first 11.

Why do you keep repeating the same old stuff. Haven't you anything new to add.

We've already found out that you can't operate without adequate cover; it has nearly relegated us in the past. The most successful clubs have two first 11s and that's what we should be aiming for.

There are not many clubs with two successful elevens.
We are improving Year on Year,as I say we will recruit one or two once the new manager is on board.

Hopefully they make the right one for them and choose de Boer.

It will be truly bizarre if we both end up with the man suited better to the other team.

Its the Sakho position that is of real concern, when he is not playing we look vulnerable at the back and I agree the other position you are saying need to be upgraded but what is the real concern is without a manager in place we cannot progress and prepare for the challenge ahead and we are therefore currently losing opportunities especially as most of our competition seem to be very active and much more well prepared than we are at this time!

Parish pays himself 600k a year? Is that a big deal when Benteke's on more than £5m a year, and there almost certainly isn't a first teamer on much less than Parish? Who's more important to the wellbeing and success of this club? Who takes all our shyte week in, week out? Who has to go find a new boss every 6-8 months? Who's got to fix the academy, the scouting network, sign new players, fix the stadium, deal with bigshot yankee investors, PL officialdom, acts of idiocy from lighter-throwing morons, all while retaining the soul of the club...

And if it's a risk-free investment that he made to get his 600k a year: good. I'd rather that than some moron whose ego buys the club for top dollar (putting money in the hands of the seller) and whose fiscal stupidity puts us back in admin two years later (a bit of a popular business model).

Parish may have loads of faults and our consistent success on the pitch under his leadership could have been the result of multiple lucky decisions. His appreciation of the need for quick decisions may be out just as some are suggesting -- and we could be a house of cards that's waiting to fall in on itself. But we are still very much in a period where Steve Parish deserves a huge amount of our trust.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

It also says our turnover was 101000 ish with 11k of that gate reciepts which is wrong.
Unless someone is a chartered accountant and knows the ins and outs of all the companies involved in CPFC it is way to simplistic to jump to the conclusion that Parish is paying himself a fortune.
If it turns out he has paid himself 692000 so what? It's a one off drawing not an annual salary and I am pretty sure he has put more of his own time and money in over the years.
FFS what has this got to do with anything?!?!?

Calm down. It was posted in response to a post relating to an out-of-date article stating that none of the Palace directors took a salary, which is no longer the case. Of course it's Parish, return on investment wouldn't be shown as a directors salary. No one has commented on whether he's entitled to it or not, and I personally have no problem with it, but let's not pretend that he's doing it for love. He puts in the time and gets paid for it; that is all.

I'm a desperate as anyone to a get a new manager. Most of the seasons, we are underprepared going into season, like last season with Benteke transfer saga dragging on. Since being in the premier league, we've left most of our transfer business until the last 2 weeks.
Here's the squad that started the first game against wba .

Hennessy, ward, dann, Delaney, soaure , jedinak, puncheon, Townsend, chungy, Zaha and wickham.

So in an ideal world we love to have our 25 man squad in place when we face Huddersfield. This never happens. Can understand the frustration with manager but even if we didn't sign anybody for the Huddersfield game. We in a stronger position this season . As long we have a manager in situ. I'm sure we will strengthen the squad with 3 or 4 but will probably be the last 2 weeks of August.
