I don’t think he is a xenophobic racist on a personal level. I think he courts xenophobic racists with his rhetoric and propaganda. So why shouldn't his children have German passports and how does the fact they do appeal to those he courts?

If you really have to ask, then I give up! Best mates with Lebedev and Murdoch, sponsored by Russian money, such a patriot, irony is lost on you.

There is no freedom of speech argument! It’s an entirely spurious invention by Farage which unfortunately has been swallowed by those in government who ought to know better. I have little doubt that on reflection that will be quietly dropped. He is, has been and always will be able to freely express his views. That in doing so he creates controversy that is, in turn, seen by a bank to potentially be capable of damaging their reputation is a completely separate issue. The first is his right. The second is theirs. Both must be honoured but only their’s is under any threat. Ok, I’m reneging on my stated intent to leave the debate as you seemingly can’t bring yourself to accept a contrary point of view to your own. Your view is there’s “ no freedom of speech argument “ - that’s your view, not a fact. To quote the Prime Minister - Mr Sunak wrote on Twitter: “This is wrong. No one should be barred from using basic services for their political views. Free speech is the cornerstone of our democracy.” So whether you agree and like it or not, that argument exists.

It's not really a difficult situation to grasp. A big banking firm, in an industry which prides itself on customer privacy, then publicly disclosed the reason they have closed an individual's bank account.

However, many thousands of British citizens living in EU countries, had their UK bank accounts withdrawn as a direct consequence of Brexit. Something he was the primary architect of. Did he speak up for them back then? Does he mention them now? No. He is a hypocrite. Prior to Brexit he railed against the EU, and especially its Parliament whilst taking a big salary from the EU Parliament and now getting a pension from it, which is paid for from the settlement we had to agree to. Hypocrite. He also has 2 children who hold German passports. Many would say you also have an obsession with our EU membership !

Excuse me for asking but what does that response have to do with the subject? You never engage in any kind of rational debate. Instead you seem obsessed with delivering insults, rather than in any kind of exchange of view. I have already given you far more attention than you deserve.

No reason at all, but if you listen to him pontificate on all things EU you would think he didn’t agree. Like most brexiteers, he does not have a problem with Europe, just with the EU.
